calls me everyday i answered it once nit gave me the busy signal i refuse to answer it now thank god for caller id's but it is really starting to get on my nerves considering i pay extra a month to have a private number so i not get these calls very annoying!!!

Hi I have answered the call from 028193800, there is a dead silence at first then finally an overseas person answers asking for my husband, she says she is from sykes westpac. Hubby is at work all the time and they say they will ring back. This time i rang westpac to find out and i was told that they are not connected to them at all. WESTPACS ADVICE: DO NOT GIVE ANY PERSONAL DETAILS TO THE CALLER, MORE THAN LIKLY A SCAM. The delay you are hearing is from the call being transfered to the Australian number (piggybacked into Australia). BE CAREFUL

guys you are all calling these people pathetic and even comments as harsh as hope will kill themselves i myself typed in the number after speaking to lovely lady about insurance we all have to understand that they are doing a job and at the end of the day this policy or insurance product maybe beneficial one day to your family but i guess know one knows until one of your family members or your self suffers a horrific accident then thats when everyone wishes if only i took that call from those people rep westpac,
but for all you Einstein's out there IF THEY ARE IN A CALL CENTRE THEN THERE IS A 2 SECOND DELAY ON THE OTHER END UNTILL THEY CAN ACTUALLY RESPOND, so perhaps you hang up on those guys all the time have your thought about that? and common you idiots they do not call you all 7 times a day DURING the night Or after the hours of 8pm and you ALL COME AND COMMENT HOW PATHETIC THESE PEOPLE ARE BUT HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT WHAT YOU ALL DO FOR SPARE TIME UMM YES THATS RIGHT ON THE INTERNET DISSING others jobs and no they are not idiots these people specialize in insurances do you know all the fine prints and how to make a claim envolves NO THATS RIGHT YOU ARE ALL probley cleaners data entry people admin clerks etc any body that has a brain is able to fax and read emails...........

darling the reason they ask for your husband is for security reasons they can not discuss with your self if your husband actually listened to their phone call they would first ask your husband if they have received information that was sent out to westpac and inside the envelope that westpac sent out will be a product disclosure info about sykes the company and how they work on behalf of westpac and if your hubby then states no he has not received it then the people can not proceed with the call so how can you tell me that you know this info And sweetheart i know your probley a stay at home house wife that wants to stick her beak into everything but these people are in australia either a centre in rhodes sydney,maitland,robina queensland THAT DELAY YOU HEAR is actually the automated dialing system ......you would also know if the call was for you they read out a call recording statement at the start of the call to advise THEY CAN NOT TAKE INTO ACCOUNT YOUR PERSONAL CIRCUMSTANCES..... So yes atleast you got one thing right they dont encourage personal details there simply there to provide a quote !

how about you march to the mailbox received the info that is from westpac and inside the pack will be a pds about sykes and how they associate with westpac...... or even tell your hubby to allow them to proceed with a call to then advise your self that this is all true and you my darling house wife have your facts wrong!!!!!

See that's the problem. Give them a chance if you pick up the phone call and advise them that you do not wish to be called. They simply reply, "Not a problem sir, I'll make sure you're taken off the calling list," and there you go—no more calls. They are doing their jobs!

^ this guy is most likely the [***] call centre person trying to get pity. F off. If they called me 1x a week i would be bothered but it happens like 1x a day (its better now... 1x every 5 days so i dont mind).

The last two days i've been getting phone calls from this number and no one is there. Its so annoying!!!!

i keep getting calls from these people too.  it's a bit bloody hard to tell them to take me off the list when they only let it ring once or twice and then when you try to call back it doesn't even ring out!?!?!?!?!?

i haven't signed up for anything with any bank or insurance company all year, and the calls only just started this week.  EXPLAIN THAT.

It is an ICT call centre service provider. They provide a variety of call centre services. i got their response on their answering machine. they have an email and website on message, i will be emailing them angrily now. i got 4 calls from them today and in my job i can not answer straight away. If they want my business they can leave a message.

I received a call today from 0281983800 at 9.50am and he asked me whether I've received a big envelope containing information about Westpac Well product. I told him that I haven't receive it and he confirmed with my address. I remembered receiving the same call last week at 5.30pm but when I picked up the call, it was dead. I tried calling back the number and it mentioned it from ICT group. He said he'll call me back again next Tuesday to check out whether I'm interested in the product.

This is the worst type of marketing. hate it long time.

Same deal - I get prank calls from that number and have tried to call back only to recieve a mesage to go to a website. I haven't done that yet. Anyways, its soooo annoying and missleading.
