This number keeps called my mobile. Where have they got my mobile number from I wonder? I'm trying to get my new residential broadband service with BT set up - it's currently not working. They either must have access to BT customer database list or they are connected to BT in some way. They have been bugging me since I signed up with BT two weeks ago. Not interested.

british gas, selling stuff.

Called my landline bit didn't leave a message. When I called the number it was unattainable. Call came at 9:10 a.m. and I was unable to get to phone on time. I am a widowed pensioner and I feel threatened by this.

3 -4 times a day. Often silent. so annoying

yes they keep calling my landline but always hang up once the answerphone kicks in inviting them to leave a message for me,any genuine company trying to contact me would have the good manners to leave me a message not hang up on my answerphone,its a shame bt and tps dont do something about it for what is worth in am registered with tps and ex directory but the calls keep on coming.

just had an Irish (Belfast or Eire?) caller on this number. He said , as soon as I said hello "oh  I'll phone you on your landline" and when asked who are you, he said "I'm from BT" and hung up.

Suspect I'm going to get another call shortly.

I gather that they don't actually disconnect your phone, they don't hang up at their end and as they have called you, they are still blocking your line.  It means you can't ring out.  But they can disconnect and ring you back.  it was reported on the BBC.  Have had several calls from this number but haven't been around to answer.

Getting unwanted persistant calls ffrom this number

I should have added that I have recently changed to Vodafone. Never had this problem before with  T Mobile and only 12 close family and friends have my new number.

Lady with Scottish accent phoned and said she was from BT. I said I was happy with the service I got at the moment. She said 'You're not interested - even if we can save you some money?' at which point I put the phone down.

Just had a call from this number, as people mentioned; A man with an irish accent claiming to be from BT.

He seemed to know my last name and who my internet provider was, which is interesting as you would expect BT to only know this.

He claimed that as my calls weren't going through BT but a third party I was paying too much and if I returned to BT I could have an 'inclusive' deal of £44 a quarter.
Big load of rubbish, as my BT line is infact still with BT!

I said so what do you need from me, he asked that he needed my MAC code!! hmmmm?

He said he would call back next week.

I think best course of action is tell him to get lost!

this number just rang ...got the answer machine man on end of  han't even realized he was being recorded laughing with the person at the side of him

This number called several times today and when I finally answered, the man on the line asked to speak to the BT account holder...when I said "Yes, that is me", he hung up immediately. As others have suggested, he did have an Irish accent. I have now programmed the number to read out 'fake BT'.

2 calls today - ignored as on previous days

bt called me not knowing what he was trying to sell. i said that the boss wasnt around. english acsent

Just tried to ring again, after trying several times today already, but not message left on the answerphone.

Had a call from this number on my mobile, man with a very strong African accent claiming he's from British Gas about my boiler being over 10 years old - unfortunately, I cannot tell whether the boiler IS in fact over 10 years old, so I can't confirm whether he was lying (most probably) or telling the truth. Nevertheless, when l told him l was renting he put the phone down.
