I received a call from this number today.  A lady with a Geordie accent said she was Laura from Communications Direct.  She asked me how much I spend per week on my pay as you go mobile.  I said £1.  She said "£1?  Thanks for your time" and then she hung up.

Had a missed call, wondering who it is!

They have been calling me but i have never answered i am glad i found this page so i know who these morons are

Agreed - I bought a Vodafone PAYG SIM card from Tescos in Ipswich at the weekend.  I have given the number to absolutely no-one, and I mean no-one as it's for a test phone.  The only people who could have given this caller the number are Vodafone.  Way to go, Vodafone, how to irritate your new customers.

got a call from them. out of interst called back. they say company name communications direct and give an email of their sales team. anyone wants to spam them back? lol

yes, and probably the best is to say it is a company phone, so that to imply you are not a decision-maker and the wrong person in this case.

Had two calls in the last two days one from 02920 822640 and one from 02920 822637. Both trying to sell me a new phone tarrif. Phone is PAYG purchased recently especially for close family to call so I can turn my work mobile off when not at work; not therefore very chuffed to have telesales people ringing me.

I've now registered my PAYG number with the Telephone Preference Service who advise me I have to wait 28 days, then any further telesales calls can be reported.

Just found this site when "Google-ing" an unknown number to my phone. I've got a contract vodafone so now I know it's a sales call I can reject the calls.

The way I deal with unwanted calls to my mobile is to make a new contact for it called "?COLD CALL n", then set the ring tone for that number to silent - it doesn't stop the calls, but they don't interrupt me any more...

They called me today, introduced themselves as a sales company and it sounded like an asian woman talking, I have nothing(!!!) against any race of ppl, my pont being here is merely - she didn't seem to speak english very well so how come she's in telephone sales where she needs to speak a language she doesn't really speak???? lol

Anyways, I just immediately told her that she must have got the wrong number, but then she said: no,no, not the wrong number!
I then again said that she must have the wrong number!  Where to she again replied: no, no, not the wrong number, this right number!
I just hung up.  I'm not really a rude person, but when ppl dont take a hint and when they call me only for the purpose of a sale they should ask if one's interested before starting to talk about what they're selling.

It is comms direct...trying to sell mobile phone contracts

I've had a couple of calls - yesterday after 5 but was at the gym and this morning around 9:30.  I googled the number as I'm very suspicious of numbers I don't know.  I see that they are Communications Direct so I googled them and found this interesting article:

They called yesterday but had hung up before I answered. Also they rang today (missed call) I am PAYG and certainly never pass my number to anyone I dont know. People like this are annoying!

This is communitcations direct, I recieved a few calls from them I upset the caller. If they call you just give them some abuse and demand they delete your number from there system or you will report them for harrassment. They don't know your details, there system randomly produces numbers. You can always have a laugh with them and just totally lie when you answer their questions, start by telling them you spend £80 a week on pay as you go, this will really excite them, you can even ask them very personal questions this is always a laugh! get them back and waste there time! My friend always has a laugh with them and pretends to be a right perv, he asks what colour under wesr they are wearing and if he can have there phone number, says he thinks there voice is sexy! Just remember never give your personal details to them , make a name up like Barney Bear,address The woodlands, Picnic street etc or Wendy Windows, the conservatory, Windy street etc, they will probably cut you off!

You can always email them on feedback@cdleurope.com and ask for you number to be removed they will do this and it will stop them calling withing 24 hours.

I kept getting calls, rang them back, no answer so checked up on here. I am a pay as you go customer and amazed that this number turned out to be what it is! What a load of idiots!
