I've usually found with these companies that ignoring the call will not work as their dialer will just keep ringing again and again. Just answer say "hello" and then hang up.

I would like to know if they are actually reverse charging as if not I would tell them to wait a moment then put the phone next to the TV for a while. If we can waste enough of their time these companies might not make a profit out of pestering people. I've even thought of telling them it's not a mobile number and their call has come through to a BT landline. That should confuse 'em.
I actually feel sorry for the people who work for them as they have just taken the job because they can't find anything better. As for Marc and Matt they can go to hell.

so annoying! i got a call from it and i didnt have a clue who it was! i dont answer calls from numbers i dont know but seriously!  i get loads of calls from people i dont know and they're generally just [***].  is there a way to get them to never ring again without answering the phone?

I'm pay as you go and they've rang me every day for two weeks. i even got a new sim card (with a new number) and they rang that too. i picked up once and it was just this man shouting saying my contract had to be renewed and i owed them for 6 months of fees. its getting very annoying :(

My wife who is on Pay As You Go has had a lot of calls from 02920822637 and a selection of others all the way up to  02920822673 but has ignored them all

Just had a call on my mobile from 02920822640, didn't answer it cos i only answer numbers i recognise but i was curious cos i don't get many cold calls. so i googled it and found this site. many thanks for the service. i just renewed my contract too.

just got a all from this number, no message & my phone is on silent in work, so I didnt answer. Suspect Vodafone?

I haven't given anyone my number - only use mobile for kids emergencies, just wondered who was ringing me. What happens when you answer and how can you stop them??

I got various calls from this number and a few variations of last figures in the last 3 days, but was away from my phone. Today I managed to answer and they asked me whether I'm on Pay as you go and how much I spend per week, so that they could offer me a better deal.
I answered 'Yes' and '£5 per month", which is more or less true in my case. They said goodbye. I got a similar call one year ago: same questions from them, same answers from me, same ending.

So my conclusions, useful for whoever reads here:
1) IT IS NOT TRUE that you are charged if you answer the call: if you were to be charged, you would hear a message first informing you that it is a reverse call and asking you whether you want to answer.
2) If you don't want to be bothered any more, do answer and just say that you spend something like £5-£10 per month. They won't be interested in you and perhaps won't bother you for a while.

They called me during school and I had know idea who it was so I called them back later...
Then i realised that it was sales people after they picked up and said "Hello how may I help you?"

I hope they dont start calling me everyday!

Am receiving nuisance marketing calls from these numbers on a daily basis. They have been asked to stop. 02920822637, 02920822640. Company is Communications Direct - a buncg of ignorant trash with regional accents. Complaining is no good - Vodafone are useless incompetent fools - they publish no contact email, their online form does not work and they expect you to pay 25p for the privilege of complaining about this when it is highly likely that it is their fault (due to incompetence or dishonesty) that the number was leaked in the first place. Tip: complain about spam calls you recive at Twitter.com - you'd be surprised who pays attention there. I am a famous journalist and resent my privacy being invaded by Communications Direct - has gone on for some time on a DAILY  basis, sometimes twice a day. SCUM

I had a call from this number of which I missed twice, I called them back and found out to be a call centre, when they asked me what phone I have (Nokia N95 8G) THEY TOLD ME IT WAS A LOAD OF RUBISH AND TRIED TO ENTICE ME WITH A FAR MORE INFERIOR SONY ERICSON, anyway no deal had by them!!!!!!!!

The number is communications direct and I didn't think to ask where they got my number.  They were assuming that it was pay as you go........which the number has never been.

Got a call from this number and as soon as I answered they hung up. I am definately not calling this number back...probably rip me off.

My mobile is only 3 months old, is PAYG, and no-one has my number except close family cos i dont use it much, in fact its only had 15 pound credit on it in its lifetime.  Me thinks Vodaphone is being naughty giving out my mobile number..... makes me think I dont wanna be with Vodaphone anymore - never had problems like this with other mobile providers.

I keep missing them cos by the time I hear it ringing and retrieve it from the depths of my handbag they have hung up....really irritating. Grrrrr.  Means I cant pretend to be a very old lady that needs everything repeating and saying I'm very interested, but my son has my cheque book because I keep forgetting which bank I belong to...heh heh.

If anyone in cardiff can search the phone book, the directors names are on the site, anyone find them we can all cold call their homes constantly at 3am and see how they like it. I know a nutty farmer from when i lived up near carmathen who'd probably take them out for the price of a couple of sheep to bolster his flock. Whatever you do don't support their two bit crock of s*it outfit. Give them Hell.

This number phones me about 3 times a day, when I answer they hang up. When I call back it goes to answering machine!!!! Who is it?
