0301

I keep getting them so I have now reported them to the ICO. They have an online complaint form. Let's see if it works. If anyone is interested the link is;

I get calls from this idiot with anm indian accent every other day.Because they are making these calls through the internet they know it can't or will be very difficult to trace.I've tried everything from saying the person does'nt live here anymore to threatening them with the police but guess what??they call back the next day as if it's the first time they've called.The law needs to be changed and these people prosecuted for harrasment but until then....what can you do?????

I've now had two calls from this number, one at the weekend and one a few minutes ago and decided to find out who it was on here!  I'm with talktalk so it's not limited to just one or two companies.  Both times I answered the phone though they just hung up and I didn't even speak this morning.

I too now know that they're probably going to call again but also know I'm not alone!!

Just had a call on the home phone from these people. Answered and they hung up straight away!! GRRRRRR.........

rang several times, each time it went dead when I answered

Persistent unwanted nuisance calls from 0301........when will somebody act to put these people out of business.

Had 7 calls from 0301 over the past 24 hrs. Got "Call Display" so know not to answer it like many other annoying calls listed down to ignore!!
What's the best way to stop it? :(

I am fed up also on virgin having 0301 call me and leaves messages saying this is mailbox 0301.  Search on internet shows it has to be a public body or a charity.  Seems very suspicious to me.

Getting these calls also and they know my name. I believe this started after using one of those well know financial comparison sites.  They have sold my information on even though I did make sure I unchecked their permission to notify third parties boxes.  Be wary of the forms you are filling when looking for mortgage, loan, insurance quotes.  When I answer, they ask for me, (we have to answer, we have relatives overseas,)I just say NO, they hang up. It is a real nuisance and should be deemed as harrasment, they are after all, invading your home!  These people act desperate, do not enter into any conversation. Someone suggested getting a sound board set up on your PC, good idea!  Anyone remember Captain Caveman? Or how about Forrest Gump, lol. Harry Callaghan...the list is endless, have some fun.

I've just had one of them today.. I know if its a call centre as theres always that 10 second delay
She was very pushy.. I said i wasnt interested. She kept going on about it being free.. In the end i put the phone down..

I had a call from 0301 about a week ago, and they asked to speak to someone who (as far as I know) never lived at this address.
So I told him that he had the wrong number.
But I deliberately hung on to see how he would respond :)
He then said, "Err, actually, it's you I want to speak to" and he didn't get any further because I told him that he sounded like some company trying to hard-sell me something and that I don't buy anything over the phone from cold-callers.

I now had another call from 0301, and this time it was a silent call.  I just hung up.

These muppets call me on a daily basis and never seem to give up.  In the beginning I spoke only to tell them I am not interested, now I just hang up.  Nevertheless Wish somebody could stop these calls coming through

Just wish there was some way of getting these calls stoped.

tell them to [***] in a nice english accent  seemed to work for me....

Have just had another one of them bloody calls. This time the guy was actually polite. He apologised for bothering me.

We keep geting calls to clear our debt. Also tried to ring but no reply. Yes when they ring again the big F... Off might put them off.

I had just moved house and taken over the previous occupants number. Got several calls from 0301 offering me debt advice. I registered with BT for their tracing service, but it doesn't work on calls from outside Britain. I now have caller display and urge anyone else to avoid answering this number as they are rude and aggressive and speak to you as though you are in loads of debt and urgently need them to bail you out.

Recently started getting calls from these guys, first time today that i picked up, and also getting debt worries....considering all mine are up to date i just hung up. My guy had a distinct Australian accent

Three months ago was getting two calls a day for either myself or husband - one in the morning and one after six. Always told them I was not interested until finally I rang BT to intervene.  They said they could not block calls and that eventually they would go away as they target areas and move on. They eventually stopped calling - but not before I became stressed and did not want to answer the phone.  Last week they have started calling again and even after threatening to call the police they have still called me again this morning.  I cannot understand why they are allowed to operate and why BT cannot trace and stop these calls. I feel angry not just for myself but for elderly or vulnerable people that are also getting harrassed by them.
