0301

Just got a call from 0301, sounded like an asian woman, struggled to understand what she was saying. She had my full name and said she was doing a survey of the people of Derbyshire but couldn't even pronounce Derbyshire properly. I think she said she was doing a survey on behalf of a leading bank but I was struggling to understand her. After getting her to repeat herself I just hung up as she was totally wasting my time. If they ring back I'll definitely keep them on the phone for as long as possible to waste their time.

Another annoying call from 0301.
No one spoke
So i did 1471 and it said 0301 and i could call back and there may be a charge !
Not flipping likely !!!
Must be part of the way they make money,peeps calling back.
I'm also BT and on TPS.
Bloody annoying when you are expecting an important call !

Just had a short and silent call, 1471 gave 0301 as the caller..date 26/03/10, time just about 20:10 ...love to know who it is

Had one of these 0301 messages today. Foreign sounding lady who knew my name and said she was conducting some kind of survey. Needless to say I told her I was not interested and then hung up. Have had several 'witheld' numbers in the last few weeks also, even though registered with call protection.

Seems strange i had a call from 0301 then 0012345678901......not bothered as they are the ones paying for the call ;-)

Hi, had the call from 0301 tonight. When I answered there was silence then they held up. Just wondering if this is their way of checking if it is a valid line(meaning I can expect more calls from them)? Did anyone else receive a silent call first?

Just had an Indian ring asking if I was the owner of the 'phone.  Hung up at that point - 3 seconds into his call.  It was from 0301.  No call centre type background sounds and a clear line from which I conclude he was working through a random number list from home.

Mine is a private landline for business use in connection with the cremation of human remains and no-one has the number except for six funeral directors - all white anglo-saxon protestants.

I'm with the TPS so why did this timewaster try to get through?

If I get bothered again I might introduce him to some of my associates.

I get these calls all teh time. Tried hanging up. Tried being rude. Neither worked!

Going to try answering the phone and saying "Hello Police Station  can I help you?"

Will see if that works!

Have had 3 calls in 2 days from 0301, all silent calls. Seems I am luckier than some who get debt management services etc. It is annoying.

I had a call from this 0301 number, I answered  it, shouted "Hello" a couple of times, but it was silent, I screamed down the phone lol and the line went dead, does anyone know who is behind this number? As it is really starting to annoy me and my partner with these unending phone calls

Have received several calls from this number in the last few days - however the line immediately goes dead when I pick up the receiver - no one it seems is at the other end -  it's very annoying....

I have had 3 call s from 0301 in 2 day s but as luck as it I have been out , and just seen Their number on my phone, is there a way to stop the calls

they just called me - twice - but no-one there once I aswered.

Is it OK to swear at these people?

I've started getting calls from 0301 as well, usually in the evenings. I have had problems with calls on this line since I got it. the 0301 calls have always been silent, but other calls have an indian accent asking if I'm Mr Robson, to which I tell them they have the wrong number, they often argue back they have the right number and just want to talk to the person at my number. I had a great argument with one of them trying to explain that.

The great thing is the line is only used for work purposes so I usually answer with "Hello BT, Shez speaking" which gets rid of a lot of them straight away anyway!

Ive been having calls from this 0301 all day nearly every hour. Luckily I have an answering machine and caller id so Ive refused to answer the phone. I dont intend to answer it either. I will be contacting my provider to have the number barred.

Spoken to my provider and for a small monthly fee I can have the 0301 number barred. Also If They use another no I can have that barred as well with no extra charge. Lets see if it works.

Ask your provider to block the no, they may charge you a small monthly charge.

Got a call (again) from this lot - couldn't understand a great deal of what he was wittering on about other than he worked for some company or other - having read this site, it pretty much fits the bill.  Told him in a firm but polite way (after all he's only trying to make a living!) to not bother me again and take my 'phone number off his database.  Doubt that will work....
