i got the same call today...
Tan Loon Chuan from 03-2616399. Same story as most people who got a call from this Tan Loon Chuan.
Said my bankbook is with him, and when I asked, from which bank, he said Citibank from Hong Kong. I laughed.
He intimidated me by asking why are you laughing.
I told him I have not been to Hong Kong, and no such account.
He intimidated me further by saying, kamu mengapa ketawa? siapa nak tanggung kalau ada apa apa masalah.
I told him, saya tanggung sendiri lar..
He told me angrily to go to Bukit Aman to look for him immediately.

I received similar call from +1300300300 on 19 July 2013, I did not pick up the call and it go to my voice mail.
I check the voice mail and it say, in female Malay voice,  say it is from Pos Malaysia and I have unclaimed package and please press "1" to talk to customer services. (Of course I not follow cause not logic mah - how could Pos Malaysia staff don't know it is talking to voice mail services ?).

It is just sad that the mobile network security is so "toy" that caller number can be so easily faked.
I don't whether it is weakness in the mobile network security or human ignorance in telco. in either case, the general public is an easy victims.

This happen since 2012 and is reported in media and "prosecuted", but the punishment is so so light/negligible.

I received a call 03-2616-3999 from Bukit Aman Inspector Mohd Ismail at 10.30am on 22-07-2013. At first he confirmed my name and asking whether i knew these two Chinese men named Lam Hong Heng & Yap Chun Hong who is involved in the money laundering by using my account in HongKong and i would be locked up for 14days for investigation if the Hong Kong police takes charge of the case.

While I ask his ID and name, than ask his ID and department again, and said i will call up to check bukit aman, he start to sound angry and loud said you better meet me before 3pm, else I will issue warrant, I said just issue, I will go make report police now and inform my lawyer. Than he hang up.

Hi, thanks to everyone who shared this earlier ! It helps me to reconfirm that indeed I have just received a spam call !!! Although the story line is about the same, however I just share the updated name and contact number of this conman !

I just got a call from 03-26163822 at 2.52pm on 15/08/13 from a person speaking in Malay, he said he is from Bukit Aman. His Chinese name is Wong Peng Teck. He can tell my full name & I/C no and said that my identity has been used for money laundering, and  asked me to call HK police LO KEONG 罗强 00852 6885 0844 to confirm that i did not involve with the money laundering activity. The names of 2 person caught by HK police is Lam Hong Heng and Yeap Choon Hong. If I need any assistance, i can call him back at 017-8261476.

I was called from 03-26163822 at 10.05am on 21/8/13, same Wong Peng Teck from Bukit Aman, same Lo Keong Same Phone, same case, same person caught. Stupiiiid conman why same story and name, be more creative-lah!!!,

I went to Bukit Aman Police station, no such Inspector Wong, but 03-26163822 is Bukit aman new no.

I made a police report alreary.

I just received the same call from the Inpector Wong Peng Teck that you mentioned today. Luckily I searched his name in Google and found this message. BE CARE !

hahaha... insp Wong Peng Teck called me 2 days ago, spoken to me in Malay. notice that his slang like indonesia malay.. i purposely speak to him in cantonese and he shouted to me 'cakap melayu'.. Proven it is a scam call. I dont bother what he is going to tell me, i hang up the call. keep on calling me few times...

I received the same phone call from this phone number +60326163822 at 12.15pm today, 3 September 2013.

The guy speaking in Malay sounded like a Chinese (Malay is obviously not his first language). His speech is incoherent and all I can make out is "Bukit Aman" from the conversation..He tried to sound stern and intimidating but it is quite obvious that it's a scam. I have faith that PDRM's officers speaks good malay... I cut him off mid-conversation and hung up on him, told him he better stop and threatened to make a police report on him.

My friend receive one call from Inspektor Jabir dari Bukit Aman (sound like Bukit Mas) hahahaha.. and he told the same story and said my friend account Citibank n Copy I/C with him But my friends never had Account Citibank.. So funny.. and he want to issue warrant to tangkap my friend..hahahahaha..

same thing happen to me just now.
The guy claimed that he is Inspector Tan Loon Chuan from Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department. Firstly he confirmed my name and IC and asking me whether I have any credit card in Maybank or Citibank. He told me the same story and asking me whether I know Yap Chun Hong and Lam Hong Heng who is involved in the  money laundering by using my account in Hong Kong. Then he asked me to Mr. Lo Keong，from Hong Kong Police Station in Mongkok at 852-68858706 to clarify this.

I just received call 03-26163822 from Bukit Aman there, the malay man ask my name confirm after say got two person use my IC lokcap at there want me to Bukit Aman there, after I say I will ask Lawyer go there, after he stop the call.

I just received a call 03-26163822 on 12/9/2014 at 1351hrs from Bukit Aman and the polis named Mohd Ismail said the same story...my IC & Passport been used in Hong Kong. To check whether i got account in Citibank Hong Kong ... bla bla bla...exactly same story.... I no need to continue type!

Got a call from 03-2616822. Gave me his name and hp no. as Mr. Ismail and 017 826 1476. Spoke in broken malay and very hard to understand him. Something about Citi bank and named 2 chinese guys. Then told me to call HK Inspector Loh Keong at 00852 6885 8706. Which I later received a call from the Inspector but he spoke in Mandarin. Unfortunately, I don't know mandarin.

I've traced out the 03 phone no:
1. the phone number 003-26163822 leads to the following address:
JABATAN PERDANA MENTERI, JLN DATO ONN, 50502 KUALA LUMPUR
2. Information seems to show the phone number belongs to KETUA POLIS NEGARA (PRI JSJK)

Who ever is calling seems to know how to hack into the police station too.

So be extremely careful!!!

I got a call awhile ago too from an Inspector Ho (03-26163899 and 014-9889937) of IPK Kuala Lumpur. He got my IC number and like your case, claim that 2 persons in Hong Kong had utilised my Citibank account in Hong Kong for money laundering activities. Their names are also Lam Hong Heng and Yeap Choon Hong. Apparently they have been caught. I was also told to call Inspector Loh Keong of Hong Kong at +0085266376017.

I asked him a if IPK KL is the one at Bukit Aman, he said yes. He really think Malaysians are that stupid issit ? IPK is at Pudu !!!!

I called Bukit Aman just to be sure. Sargeant Nora picked up the phone and told me its a spam. Sigh ! What have become of Malaysia .....

Same story, just received call yesterday, was glad that everybody sharing this information out so that I can confirm that this is a stupid joke. The guy even smart and ask me bank in "jamin" money so that I no need attend to court. How funny is him.

His parent really never teach him well. If need to cheat people money also must act smart and pro. Never surt net at all. LoL.....

Just received a call from 26163822 today too from someone who claims to be from Bukit Aman. Same story as above. Politely told him off.
