Today 17 April 2020 still have miss call from this number. Why they call late night?

Got a call from this number at night on first day of Raya. The caller claimed that he was from CIMB and wanted my last four digit of my ID card. I just hung up. We are not supposed to be revealing anything to them.
I went through the cimb website:
"1. Never share details such as your card number/ User ID / PIN / password / TAC.

2. Don’t panic and give personal information to fraudsters impersonating representatives of government agencies etc. even if they deploy fear tactics. Immediately call the number on the back of your card to verify with CIMB."

So my conclusion, since they tried to ask for my personal ID, please consider all calls from this number as potential scam.

Got call from this number, and wanted to verify if I have purchased anything in the last few minutes because they got a red flag on a transaction on my credit card.

I did not do any transaction and they did want to do a verification by asking my last 4 digit number but I did not give it to them. I just said no need verify and I did not do any transaction and ask them block.

They asked me to call the number located at the back of my card because I did not want to do the verification. They also sent an sms to confirm that my card is suspected of being used without my knowledge, suspicious transaction, and is blocked.

So I called to confirm, verify and blocked. Lucky I answered the call.

Got a call from this number as well around 10.50pm..i was quite suspicious at first..the guy told me that they are fraud department from cimb and there were 2 fraud transactions made using my credit card..they advised me to block the card first and report the fraud transactions.

After that, i called cimb call center to verify what just happened and cimb told me exactly the same thing. There were also another 2 attempts for the same transaction after the card was blocked.

So i can confirm that the number is legit.

This real CIMB no. Normally they call to verify for any suspecious/online/oversea payment or transaction of your credit card.

Received call from this number asking if I makes legit transactions. I asked his name don’t want to tell me. I told him I didn’t make any transaction neither I received transfer money from anyone.Balance in my account below than hundred. I haven’t transfer it to my account yet this I knew it was a scammer . I told him will call HQ to stop him from keep continue to lure me.I don’t trust even if he said CIMB

they call me this morning and ask 4 digit for my ic no. Scary! I give them. When i call back this no, no answer. I don't think this from cimb

from cimb......they want to verify your credit card transaction

I received missed call from this no. 2 hours later when I looked at my SMS, my CIMB ct cd has been charged with transactions that I was not doing, and the last transaction's time exactly the same as when this no called me. I called 03-6204 7788 at the back of the card to block my card. It is the first time I experienced this! SCAMMERS - GET A LIFE OR ELSE GO TO HELL!!!!!

AFTER READING OTHER POSTS, SOME OF THEM SEEM TO CONVINCED THAT IT IS A LEGIT NUMBER.. HHHMMMM... BE CAREFUL EVERYONE!

Be careful, some scammers will fake the number in your caller ID and pretend to be CIMB.

Call dari CIMB. Katanya scammer cuba guna kad kredit kita dan nak keluarkan duit 200 dollar. Telah diblock oleh CIMB. Dan kad akan diganti baru. Baru terima kasih CIMB
