- NickI received a call from this number today but did not answer it. I have checked the number and it is in fact a bona fide company call AQL that deliver text messages and also convert them to voice messages for landlines. Of course the quality of the message depends on the sender as is clear in this thread. I actually called the number back but they just said who they were and directed you to their website. Ringing the number does not enable you to retrieve the message.
- Caller: AQL
- Call type: Text message

- HeimdallThe recorded message told me I had an SMS from number 0333344275 or something like that. The SMS was read to me in an illegible computerised voice, I tried to listen to it several times. I chose the option 4 - disable the SMS delivery. It told me that to re-enable it I would need to dial 0844-something, didn't bother noting it down as it's a (low cost) revenue number which smells of a scam. 1471 told me the SMS delivery call was from number 03333440000.
- Call type: Text message
- ChrisHad a call from this unusual looking number yesterday and I did not answer it, and no message was left either. After reading other peoples comments about this number, and as I'm not expecting any parcels to be delivered, I will not be answering the phone should they call my number again - scam or no scam!
- MansellCalled while I was out. Most probably a text to landline service since the call was timed six minutes after a reminder e-mail from my dentist regarding my appointment in two days' time (despite me ticking "no reminder required" when I booked on line).
- Caller: Probably dentist
- Call type: Text message
- JCUnwanted call which sounded like a scam.

- BernieParcelfarce.
Woke me up at 7:10 am on Christmas Eve.
Had gone to bed at 5am after driving back from Scotland, not pleased.
Stupid SMS message to tell me that a box would be delivered sometime in the afternoon, at least 7 hours after the call.
Online tracking is not sufficient for these fools.
I checked with BT 0800 587 5252 that I had registered (years ago) not to received SMS on my landline.
Option still active but Parcelfarce don't use BT.
... <expletives galore>- Caller: Parcelfarce
- Call type: Event reminder
