- Mike GIt would appear, from searching several call sites, that this number is owned by AQL and used by many companies, TalkTalk, Sports Direct, Royal Mail, Hermes, etc., etc. to notify customers of parcel deliveries and other things. However it can also be used by scammers. So to be on the safe side don't press any keys, hang up and block it if you have the means.
- Caller: via AQL
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- MikeGRemember, although the number is owned by AQL, it's easy enough for scammers to used this number and make it appear on your Caller Display so you'll never know if it is a genuine AQL call or from scammers, so don't answer is the best course of action. If you do, just hang up and don't press any buttons.
- Caller: AQL or scammer

- Anon13Trouble with all these services that relay an audio translation of a text someone sent to a landline is they keep calling - starting at silly o'clock in the morning. And they all give every appearance as being a scam call. This service is operated by AQL for many organisations including but not limited to retail, delivery/logistics, local authorities and utility companies. I think a big phone company also use this service.. Info about this number can be seen on the AQL.TTS (text to speech) web page. If you are not happy about pressing 1 to hear the message (classic scammer ploy) the AQL.TTS web page provides a phone number that you can call to retrieve the message. If it was a genuine text message sent to the landline, the message will be retrievable for several days from the time it was sent. Stay safe folks.
- Caller: Audio text to landline service
- Call type: Text message
- Anon 13Understand that if you keep listening to the introduction message when you answer the call but don't press any of the numbers, the computer will eventually read out the text message without you having to do anything. Haven't tried this yet as haven't had any very recent text messages from this service but will try it next time. If this is correct, it is much safer than pressing buttons on your phone if you are not sure.
- Caller: Audio text to landline service
- Call type: Text message
- RicciIt’s a scam number. SMS claiming to be PayPal. IGNORE
- Caller: BT SMS service
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- Anon13This number belongs to a Leeds based techy company AQL. It relays audio translations of a text someone sent to a landline. It is not the BT text to landline service. That service uses a different number. You can check this information on the AQL.TTS web page. Like all text services, the phone operator will not filter out scam text messages. Like all business numbers, there is always the potential for scammers to spoof (copy/clone) the number.
- Caller: AQL audio text service for its business customers
- Call type: Text message
- SidValleyI've had several calls from this number to my landline. The text-to-speech just reads out digits. It seems harmless but I'm going to block it anyway. If any genuine user wants to get through to me they can find some other means.
- Call type: Text message
- Anon13Understand that there is no need to press any button to pick up the audio translation of a text message someone sent to your landline. Just answer the phone and hang on. If correct, it will make answering calls from this number much safer. Being asked by a computer voice to press a number on your phone is always a bit suspicious.
