This phone number keeps annoying me!!!

I just called Optus and confirmed that this number is from a company that do legitimate business calls for them, so it isn't a scam :)

You can confirm it yourself by calling the Optus cumber that deals with complaints and problems. They provide that number on their site.

I'm glad it wasn't a scam! My DH just accepted a deal from them!

OH MY GOD this number called me about 10 times a day for like a month. i logged onto http://www.ocis.com.au and emailed info@ocis.com.au and told them to stop. they requesed my number and i haven't heard from them since!!!!!

this idiot call me every single day!!! SO ANNOYING!

I received a call from them today. They claimed to be from Optus and wanted me to sign up for some special promotion - you pay $29.95 and get to $150 credit, and then $200 credit to ring Optus numbers only. The woman on the phone spoke so quickly and with such a think accent that it was difficult to understand her. In the end of her spiel she said "So, we're gonna sign you up, right?" I replied "Hang on, I don't want to change my plan, is there somewhere I can read about this?" She then said that because I am a special customer this is a special one-off promotion available over the phone only. She then insisted I sign up, to which I replied that the deal doesn't sound that good anyway because I ring numbers other than Optus all the time. She tried to argue with me but when I mentioned that I can hardly understand her, she quickly said "Ok, have a good day then" and hung up. Weird.

HOW TO MAKE THEM STOP!
                                         
                                        I used to get a call from this number everyday. I found the best way to make them stop is to say "HOLD THE LINE" leave them "WAITING" and they will just hang up.
                                       
                                      They only tried 3 times after this. I "NEVER" got a call from them again.

                                      DO NOT CONVERSE WITH THEM IN ANYWAY
                                                        except for these 3 "SIMPLE" words.

Just received a call from 03 99377700.  Loos like this has been going on for years.  Does anyone know who they are yet?

i have a missed call from this number every morning. but i can't pick up cause im working. it fustrate me.... it calls the same time every morning..

I received a call - they id'd themselves as "on behalf of Optus" and quizzed me about my home phone and internet connection.  When I told them I use all 150gig of my internet at $60 per month, she said "thank you for your time" and hung up.
Optus know they can't better that deal and they're stupid for trying.

Yes same here!! They call almost every day, just keep ignoring them like I do..

I have had about 4 phone calls from this number in a week? I ring them back anI get no on, who are you, and what do you want or are you just a pranker isnt that against the law???

Hi I just Call the number and an IVR or Innovative Voice Recording (Automated call interaction Recording message popped up; it mentions that this number belongs to Oceania Customer Interactive Services who do a variety of out bound business on behalf of Optus and Marketing. The nice lady on the phone (pre-recored) mentioned that if I want to remove my number from all of their marketing lists...might help anyone else in future...: ).

They are a company who do marketing on behalf of Optus. If you call the number back you have an option to opt out of the database - just leave your name and number and they wont call again.

You send me $$ - I call you muchness to verification of banking mumber. If you can do this I give you back more $$ and you rich time for happy life.

I've received calls from this lot as well, but never answered. however may i suggest something to everyone who is getting calls from any known nuisance number on your mobile. If you have a 3g mobile you can download an app called 'my blacklist' it costs $10 to download but its money well spent. just enter ANY number you don't want calling you and they can never contact you again. No notification, no missed calls, and all they get is a busy signal. works a treat on my 6110 navigator (optus) and i assume you can get it for any other carrier. Hope this helps

How many are optus customers?

Hangs up as soon as I Pick up. Sometimes its just a one ring.

I've been getting phone calls 2 times a week, sometimes even twice in one day. They claim they are calling from Optus and want to offer me a great deal. They are very rude and I've told them to take me off their list as I'm not interested, but they just talk over top of you.  I can't wait for the next time they call as I'm going off my nut at them - I'll be asking for their Supervisor and letting them know I'll be making a complaint with the police for their constant harrassment!....even if they are in India!

Its really annoying! The thing is, I'm already an optus customer!  I'm only 6 months into a 2 year plan!
So what do they want from me?
So glad I googled the number.
I really disagree with this kind of marketing- we are already bombarded with commercials- billboards, newspapers, television, radio. They should not call personal phones aswell, its an invasion of privacy and rude!
