Report a phone call from 03-9937-7700 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- JohnI did get a call from this number on 22/05/2012 and the guy spoke to me very politely. He asked me if I was happy with optus and would I be willing to stick with optus. He asked for my personal details and I then asked him for his. The call was defintely genuine as he knew what plan I was with optus and what phone i was using. I renewed my contract with him over the phone and ordered an Iphone 4s which I got delivered on 25/05/2012. I asked a few questions to this guy about his company and he said he is a authorized representative of optus. Some key points to show that this company is not a scam;
* I did the get the phone delivered as mentioned on the call.
* I also ordered an Ipad which is on the way, infact I checked tht with optus deliveries,
*check out www.ocis.com.au
* This company never asked me for my credit card details,
* If you call optus, there is a good chance that even these guys may recieve tht call and service you.
Guys not just optus but all companies outsource call centre and telemarketers. Do you think when you call (Telstra, Vodaphone, Foxtel, Any banks , Civic compliance etc) these companies you call will be answered by a person who works for that company????? BIG NOOOO!- Caller: ocis/optus
- Call type: Telemarketer
- KristinaI think it's an identity theft thing because if its for Optus the guy who answered was asking me questions about my bank details?? I'm a bit creeped out they keep calling too.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- cozI have received numberous calls from this number and along similar lines - I received a text on my work phone - not the same one I am getting these calls from and it said I had won a large sum of pounds...
I have tried calling the number back it says it has been disconnected - I am now hanging up on it... - BixI get this number calling me sometimes, I just ignore it. We are obviously all Optus customers and the people here have done enough research to conclude its market research on behalf of Optus.
I have a Galaxy S2 in which you can blacklist the number - I suggest everyone work out how to do the same :) - DEEDEEwow so i am suprsied that im not lone. i cant believe somthng like this is going on. really annoying me call me everyday and i want this to stop!!!!!

- LucaI've gotten this call every day for about 5 days. I just tell them that I'm driving (even if I'm not) and they'll just tell you to drive safe or have a good day and they hang up. I've also once cut the call while they were dialling. Haven't called since then so not sure if it worked.
- House5 years later and they're still using this number! Didn't answer
- KellyI got a call today. They immediately knew my name and the exact phone plan I was on.
All she did was inform me that I didn't make any calls to other Virgin subscribers, and offered me a free sim card to give to 'a loved one' so we could call each other for free.
I turned her down and she politely hung up.
Seemed shady, but she didn't ask for any personal information, so I wasn't too worried.- Caller: 'Virgin Mobile'

- NBI just got a call from 03 9937 7700 asking me if I was happy with my Optus broadband internet and I said not really it cuts in and out all the time. He agreed that it was average service and hung up. It sounded like he was calling from a mobile as the line was pretty bad. Very dodgy.
- JGHWow, so glad I googled this number. I've just added it to the growing list of contacts titled "telemarketing - Do not answer"
- Caller: Optus
- Call type: Telemarketer
- BrianThe calls are coming from a a legitimate Optus reseller. I spoke with them yesterday. They offerd me a new contract for my ipad internet. Instead, I canceled my service. They caller was quite helpful and told me what number I needed to call to cancel the service.
I note another missed call from them today. This is probably because yesterday's caller didn't remove me from the system ... If you ask, they will usually do this, although sometimes you will get an unhelpful person who will just hang up on you.
The reason you get hang ups when you first answer, is because they use an auto dialler that randomly calls numbers on their call list. When you answer, it switches you to the next available telemarketer. If they are all already on calls, the auto dialler just drops your call.
If your number is registered as private (not for business use), you can list your number with the governments do not call register. Any person who then calls you is liable for a heavy fine.

Anyone know how to block them or if iPhone has such a function?- Caller: Unsure
- Annoyed replies to AnnoyedHi again, i called the number and the Vodaphone employee (in other threads) was right. It is an outsourced solutions co named Oceanic Marketing or something like that.
You can call their office on 1300 763 765 or email them at info@ocis.com.au to request removal from their database. Alternatively, listen to the IVR where the voice over tells you that you can be removed from their database by pressing '1' and then entering your 10 digit number. This can take up to 3 business days to take effect.
Hopefully this works from them bothering me again! - ThosefagssI got a call from them at school saying it was some oceanic thingy and it's annoying as hell Optus you guys can't sell our number we bought them and deserve privacy, I'm not in the public listings in anyway so it's only you so what the hell

- 0394973555They cannot be bothered returning phone calls or emails they do not answer it. If they do they cut you off.
- linaI also received a call from that number, as soon as I answered the call, they hung up on me, so I decided to call back, I got a machine talking, with an option to opt out.. not knowing what it was or what they wanted, I entered my 10 digit number and opted out .. now reading all the above comments, maybe I shouldn't of given my details.. which was just my number any ways that they already had.. hope it was OK.. :( :( now I'm worried..
