I received 6 calls from this number yesterday and 7 today and after answering each time, there was just silence. I tried calling back the number but as you all know, its a one way number. I am with telstra and am just going to block the number from calling my phone. I wouldnt mind working for vodafone if they just call random number and dont say anything, sound like a fantastic job!

I am receiving 3 or more calls every day and have been for months and it is really PISSING ME OFF !!! I am about to change my service provider and phone number. I have called Vodafone and after being passed around 3 different departments and speaking to people who had no idea, I was assured that the calls would stop. I am not too hopeful but we shall see.

I also get calls from this number and given i am overseas, its in the middle of the night. Don't know or care if its a legitimate vodafone number, but as my phone is up for renewal, it will be moved from Vodafone. Pathetic. I have mobile numbers in two other countries, and none of this rubbish happens on those numbers.

this number also tried me 2 times in 2 days - its rather annoying cause when i went to reurn it it said its not conntected. if its vodafone. then no i dont want and special deals with you - have had nothing but problems since i have joined and am moving to telstra.

Just got a call from this number, answered it, answered it again, answered it very loudly so the stupid dialler software would recognise a human on the phone and then got a Vodafone call centre operator trying to upgrade my plan.

Having worked in call centres before I recognised the background chatter and having read this site I knew it was really Vodafone so I decided to play with them for a bit.

She explained why she was calling (both my phones are due for renewal) and then it came - she asked me to disclose my 4 digit pin. I said that it wouldn't be a problem provided she could identify herself by telling the date my plans expire or even the other number attached to this account.

She put me on hold while she spoke to a supervisor (I'm assuming) and came back saying she couldn't give out any details until I'd identified myself.

I reckon she could see the flaw in the procedure and so she simply directed me to a Vodafone store instead. Good customer service but atrocious processes.

This is still happening, you would think that Vodafone would have a better idea of what is going on. I asked my local store if they knew the number and they had no idea! It is very frustrating, STOP CALLING ME!

Got a missed call from this number this morning (12th January, 2009).

Also received a few calls in 2007, but nothing between then and now. Bloody annoying indeed.

had enough of these calls they come at all times in the day and night think everyone should change companies then they may get the message that enough is enough . they go on about spam on the internet maybe they should protect us with the mobiles also

Just called Vodafone to try and get this to stop and they said they don't have a marketing list, don't use external companies and this was not them. She said they can't help. Going to switch mobile companies now as am really fed up with getting so many calls.

I got a call from this number too, I didn't answer it both times though.
I called it back and i got nothing.
I am with Vodafone too, so it must be some hack there....

I have recieved 2 calls a day for the last 3 days from this number, very very annoying, i thought someone was stalking me.  Well i guess in a way they are, but atleast i now know who it is.

i recieved a missed call and when i tryed to call back number blocked, these number where multi complaints occure should be deregistered. to do nothing about
it will only make it get worse and others will try the same deal. vodaphone you are creating your on enemies.

Damn I have been getting missed calls from this number every day for the past 2 weeks and I keep msging them asking who they are! From the first few comments they seem to want to ask about Plans and such things but im on prepaid so how does that work??? WHEN WILL IT STOP!!! I get really excited when i see a missed call, that just makes my cookie crumble *sigh*

I am so sick of these morons calling my mobile. Last time it happened I called Vodafone and told them to block the number....a few months later it is happening again...it's incredibly annoying and I plan to change service providers now.

Just received a call from this number. didnt know anything about it, so googled it and found this site. tried vodafone.. no love... maybe if i just go and stand in a vodafone shop without actually saying anything to anyone, leave and come back 30 seconds later, i might get some form of assistance.

yeah they called my number yesterday and were just checking to see if I was happy with the pre paid service and said they will call from time to time...

This is typical of outsourced outbound sales call centre work done by Teletech, UCSM and Salesforce. Its dodgy stuff, and thats why the Vodafone CSRs you ring would have no idea of the operation, the major telecommunication companies always keep this stuff secret.

If we answer the call what kind of deals can we get?

This has been happening non stop to me, I'm changing from Vodafone to Optus, cause im over it!!!!!!
