Uoi or whatever its called....new insurance company returning my call regarding a quote I requested

Yep same- it was Youi- after I requested a quote (and had to give them my mobile number to get a PIN to receive the actual quote).

Samething, they should have a tick box if you want to be contact or not all I wanted is a quote!

same how annoying is this.  I recieved 2 calls a day for 5 days, all I wanted was to get quotes as I was shopping arount for cheaper car insurance.  I wouldn't go with youi now just because of the harrassing calls and I received an email.  I agree have a box to tick if you want to be contacted.

Youi insurance Australia. False advertising claims re: cheaper car insurance by assessing mileage but no such feature in quote process + more expensive than others.

As per above. Sought a quote (double the price of my existing insurer), and started getting phone calls. Fat chance of getting my business!

crazy thing is that i own a nissan 180sx - they don't even insure this type of car !!! i got half way through the quote & the web site they won't insure this type of vehicle as it's a private import & now they're calling me to try sell insurance on a vehicle they won't even insure ??? does that make sense ?

As above. I went online to get a quote as they claim to cheaper if you commute to work and don't drive during the week - ony $100 less than NMRA a year and a much bigger excess and I had full NCB etc. They called me an hour after I received my quote and haven't stopped. Very annoying!

Two and a half times my Insurance with AAMI, and that was limited! No way !
I filled out my application about a week ago though... I didn't need/want any phone calls.. I've had my first call/voicemail, but now I'll expect more!

Thanks to all for your comments about 07 3719 4800. Just got a call from this number but no one was answering when I said hello so had to search on Google if this number is a scam. I don't even have a car hahaha!

Youi Insurance. They require you provide a mobile number to send a pin number to in order to receive the requested insurance quote. Very clever. However, their "we ask you more questions so you pay less" didn't work for me. The most expensive quote I received and about 40% more expensive that the best price, which was also for the best cover (SGIC).

only went online today to get a quote - $100 a month for insurance??? yeah right... i'll stick with CGU for $65...

It was Youi.  But I did not pick it up as it was area code (07).  Cheek.  Did not ask them to call.  Same as everyone else here.  The quote was only about 15 cents cheaper than what I already have.  I used to commute to work and now I am at home.  LOL 15 cents cheaper!!

Just had the same number ring me Youi but I didn't answer either, I just wanted a quote and did not request a call from them.  I will definitely not be going with Youi - a lot more expensive than I'm paying now with RACQ.

I read somewhere that it is a machine which rings the number, and when you answer it notes down the time of day you are there and hangs up so that a 'real' person can call you back and try to sell you something.

When you pick up and no one is there try pressing the # button really fast loads of times - apparently it confuses the system and deletes your number from their list!

I hope this works for you - I'm so sick of these calls.

Yep, just had a missed call from them again. They use different numbers to call aswell as the last one from them was 3719 4800. I only wanted a quote and now they keep calling and e-mailing me.
I have started putting 'nuisance' calls like this in my phone under the contact name of Do Not Answer. that wy I know in future that it's just someone being a pain!

i am so pissed off they have called me 4 times in the last 24hours... they say they cant match the qoute i got from aami for $400 cheaper, then leave me alone... i dont want them to call me, just wanted a quote. next time they call i will blast their head.

I found Youi's service professional and that they were only calling to gain feedback for future reference. Whilst doing the quote, it does state that by providing your personal details that you are agreeing that Youi may contact you... I don't see any problem.

Ok i can understand them calling once or twice for one or two days to try and gain feedback but if someone calls you 4 - 6 times a day for 2 weeks or more and you don't answer you'd think they'd get the hint your not going to answer there call and give up. its not annoying that they're calling for feedback its annoying that they call 6 times a day every day for more then 2 weeks, thats ridiculous.
