- Angry EE CustomerFirstly how did they get the number, and why are they saying they are Orange WHEN ORANGE DOESNT EXIST.
If they dont stop calling me, as it is every day at lunchtime, i will be going to orange and complaining.- Caller: Orange Customer whatevermagiggy
- gtgenius replies to Collectornot true.
- SharbyI keep getting called by this number - no one speaks then it hangs up. Annoying to the max!!!
- Caller: no name
- David DickinsonI have been contacted today by this number, and when i have researched this number it seems that it is the mobile communications company Orange using an auto dialling system that calls you. I have not answered there calls as i do not give my number out, only to family to stop this from happening, Therefore they must have got it illegally, and by calling me they muop st be breaking the law. I would like to report them to everyone and ask them to stop calling me. I am supposed to be protected by my phone company and the TPS system, but they still keep calling. Do not answer there calls, but report them as well, if we all do this we can hopefully eliminate them.
- Caller: Orange
- Call type: Telemarketer
- AnonymousI've been called daily by this company and no one answers, just got to talk to them a minute ago. They are still saying they are Orange, which as a previous post points out no longer exists!
They were trying to sell me a discounted iPad. Apparently I had be sooo fortunate that I was selected for this amazing offer. When he said did I have an iPad, I didn't answer (I do have one already!) I said "I don't believe you are from Orange", then straight away he said "oh you don't sound interested, thank you for your time" then hung up.
This is ridiculous, does this form of phone scam actually work! What a waste of time.- Caller: Orange (supposedly)
- P WoodheadI think this is a scam number. Orange tell me it is nothing to do with them
- Caller: Orange ?
- SKIt appears to be a 'courtesy' call from Orange rep. About an hour earlier I had phoned Orange with a problem which was dealt with. The man with the courtesy call simply asked me == if the matter had been resolved successully - that's all. I don't think it's anything to worry about but certainly I wouldn't want any further calls ....

- T.O.Kept getting calls from 0845 097 0207 all week, this morning I decided to answer the call but just left my phone on the side so I couldn't actually hear what they were saying, hoping that they'd give up on my number. After 30 seconds the call was ended and I was called straight back from the number 07973 100194, it was a very pleasant man saying he'd just called me but the line was dead. He was from orange (apparently) and wanted to know if I would like to switch to 4g for no extra charge. I just politely declined. I very much doubt that they're actually from Orange. Hopefully they'll leave me alone now!
- Caller: Scammer
- AhmadI was in the bathroom, heard the mobile ring, came and checked and it was a missed called from this number.
But guess what!.... IT WAS 10:30PM.... AT BLOODY NIGHT TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!
I did ring Orange (now EE) in the morning as i had a problem with my network signal at home on PAYG. Hopefully it's just a call to find out if query/problem has been sorted or not and not a automatic machine call again AT NIGHT!!!!!- Caller: Don't really know as missed call.
- AshThis is not Orange it is one of their selected Partners. Basically Orange sold your contact information to them so that they can send something to you. I was told this when I called Orange customer services and when visiting this site which I recommend everyone reads. http://help.orange.co.uk/orangeuk/support/personal/741553
Any unprofessional sounding calls anyone may have experienced are still genuine but may have been performed by someone who is in the wrong line of work.
I also recommend that anybody who gets a call from this number asks who they really are if they call themselves Orange, which is what I'm going to do if I get a callback from them.
I hope I've cleared this up. In short, it's an Orange partner who Orange themselves say is genuine.- Caller: Orange Partner
- Call type: Telemarketer
- sarahkeep getting calls from this number even though i'm registered with TPS

- StanGot a call from this number a few days ago, guy asked to speak to (My name). Turns out he was letting me have an iPad mini all for free as a reward for me being a loyal customer. He then launched straight into the "so if I could just take some details" speech. I grilled him as to why he was calling from a mobile number and that if he was calling from Orange/EE then why would he need my details. He went on to say he didn't need bank details or anything like that. I said that I'd call back later as I was in work and wanted his name so I could be put through to him. He refused to tell me, on the basis that they have "lots of different offices" and said he'd like to get the sale just now as he was commission based. He then hung up on me, realising I wasn't budging.
I could quite easily phone the real Orange/EE customer service number and see if this is indeed genuine, but regardless it's quite annoying, and I'm sure the iPad would be anything but free.- Caller: appears to be Orange/EE

- HelenHad a call this evening from this number at 6.30 pm. It was a guy saying he was calling from Orange to talk to me about some new offers. Not only was it a mobile number but the guy sounded like he was standing outside, there was so much background noise. When I asked where he was calling from he just repeated Orange. When I pointed out about the noise he said that he the air conditioning in his office had broken so they were having to use fans. It's currently 3 degrees C outside at the moment so I sincerely doubt that. When I asked him to describe the last letter Orange sent me he said he didn't have a clue. When I asked him to confirm my account number he asked for my post code which I refused to give him. He then rather smugly told me in that case he couldn't give me any information as he would be breaching the Data Protection Act. This was until I pointed out that as I had opted out of any marketing or unsolicited calls when I established my contract he was already in breach of the Data Protection Act anyway. We then got in to an argument about what constituted marketing until I told him to email me using the address they already had.
When I called Orange Customer Services the call handler said that this number was to do with Orange but couldn't tell me what department they were calling from or why, despite keeping me on hold for 15 mins while he checked. To be honest he sounded as bemused about it as I was. I have asked for it to be flagged on my account that I do not wish to take any unsolicited calls or text messages or for my details to be shared with any partners or third parties.
If it happens again I shall be waiting to complain to the Information Commissioners Office. I encourage everyone to check out this link. Getting really sick of companies thinking they can just hand your number round to anyone like sweeties!!
