    Got a call from this number this afternoon. My orange business contract has just passed renewal date and I had already been called by orange trying to retain my business. What they offered me was poor, given that I have had a business contract with them for over 15 years so I am looking to change network to get a better deal.  The caller today said they were from orange business relations dept (calling on 07973100194). They knew (or guessed?)  I had recently been called by orange. I explained that the offer from orange wasn't good enough and that I was switching to T mobile. He then lied through his teeth saying that I couldn't port my orange phone number to t mobile as they were the same company (EE) - all lies, confirmed by orange business customer services...... Don't believe anything you are told by this number - its either orange deceiving customers or a rogue salesman?  My hunch given what I have read, is that its clearly a scam... Either way its goodbye orange - very disgruntled...

    Anyone know if Orange will charge me for this call to my Orange mobile if I answer it when I'm abroad?

    I am getting a call most days (three rings) but I don't answer my mobile phone when I'm abroad (it costs a quid to pick up). If anyone really needs to talk to me they will leave a message on my voicemail and I'll see that they have done so; then I can use Skype to find out who wants to talk.

    Guess I'll just keep ignporing the number!

    This is definitely a scam. I had a call apparently from ee and they knew my name, but then wanted to talk to me about my contract but gave an inaccurate expiry and upgrade date and inaccurate details about when id taken my contract out. Bizarrely I had my actual orange contract directly in front of me and told him he was misinformed. He then gave more, incorrect information about my supposed contract. When i again said he must be calling the wrong person as he had incorrect details He then listed the first line of an address and asked me to confirm it, I refused and said I wasn't going to discuss my personal details with an unkown caller, he then shirtily said, 'well how could I have this information if we weren't ee' and then hung up. If it was a legitimate customer services number why would they get angry when you exercised perfectly proper caution at an unsolicited phone call, they wouldn't hang up on you and they wouldn't phish for accurate information by giving you inaccurate details hoping you then correct them with the right details!  The number was 08453402025

    I have just received 2 calls from 07973100194, the first time she said she was from EE so I hung up as I was at work. The 2nd came immediately after whereby she said she was from TMobile and that in fact she was calling me back as I had called them a couple of times?! Now I know that was not true as I had made no such calls so I stated this to her which didn't seem to please her as she repeated in a rather force manner she was returning my phone call?! When I matched her tone she put the phone down!

    Answered the phone to this number yesterday.  They said they were Orange wanting to do a quick customer survey.  I said I was too busy and they put the phone down.

    Someone pretending to be orange! Wanting to upgrade me to the new ee price plan!
    Well I know that orange don't phone for things like that defo not upgrades! This is the 5th time
    I have had a call from this number and today I answered it! I told her I was interested she said it won't cost u anything! Yeah right only put my monthly bill up and I know that it will cost more to go over to Ee 4G so told her I would rather go in the shop myself rather that speak to someone on the phone! And if I wanted to do this I would of done when I up graded less than a month ago! Hopefully they will stop phoning now it was driving me nuts!

    I called 150 from my Orange phone, to upgade my contract, I was then put on hold for ages, and then disconnected. Immediately after, I received a call from 07973100194, telling me they are Orange , and please go ahead with my querie. I told the chap, that I did not want to spaeak to a third party, but Orange, he then said that it was Orange, and they now use that number. I am very worried, I am sure this is a scam, and I will be reporting this.

    Ring 150 and ask Orange to remove your consent for them to use your details for marketing purposes or to pass on to third parties. When arranging your contract they automatically opt you in. After doing this I stopped receiving calls from this number. Make a fuss. It worked for me!

    T-Mobile and EE are the one and the same company.  EE took over T-Mobile some time ago.

    Call it, you get a recorded message saying it's Orange and you don't need to do anything, they'll call again.

    The recorded message is bogus- if it was genuine then how comes you can't get through? And yes, they will call again- a whole bunch of nuisance calls!

    I was called the other day an spoke to Lee Wright from Darlington who introduced himself as being from Orange. He told me that we had been good customers and wanted to reward us with a free upgrade to the EE 4G network and it would cost no extra, they sent me a sim next day delivery and I installed it. I turns out there was difference and I was still on 3G so not happy with that. I called and they confirmed that we haven't been charged any extra but we have started a 18 month contract with EE. WTF!

    So I called EE and spoke to Stephen, nice chap and well educated about Orange - T Mobile - EE, unfortunately he expects the general public to be as knowledgeable about the company as himself. Anyway long story short Lee Wright from Darlington who introduced himself as working for Orange is part of the EE Upgrades team, and now I will be without my phone service for several day whilst they downgrade my services.

    Not happy, please if you have the facility to block a number, make sure you block this one.

    07973100194 - called me yesterday (15th May 2013).
    It was a very nice lady from EE. She was very helpful and knowledgeable - no problem at all.

    Maybe they have changed their numbering systems ?

    After reading this forum I finally answered one of these calls - I get them 2 or 3 times a day.

    The person I spoke to said he worked for Orange, and knew enough about my account for me to believe that he might be genuine.  He was trying to get me to transfer from my Orange 3G plan to a new EE 4G plan, apparently at no extra cost to me.  He then told me that I was already using more data than my plan covered and that I should upgrade my plan.  This is when I started to get annoyed.

    The figures he was quoting me made no sense.  He was telling me that I was using 1.5Gb of data per month on a 1Gb plan and that my average monthly bill was c50% higher than it actually is.  When I questioned where he was getting his information from he said it is all in the system.  I said that I KNOW that the numbers he is quoting me are incorrect and that I suspected they were inflated in order to try to get me to upgrade my plan and therefore make more money out of me.  At this point he started to get evasive and defensive and I ended the call saying that if this was what they are really up to then that is shameful behaviour.

    I then checked my account online and sure enough, all the figures he was quoting me were roughly 50% higher than the real numbers.

    I believe the mobile number to be genuine Orange/EE - as mentioned elsewhere, it IS listed on the website, BUT, I would be highly suspicious of any account usage information (or anything else) they come up with in order to justify their sales pitch. Don't be taken in.
