Called asking for Mrs L West.  No one has ever lived here of that name.  When challanged he disconnected immediately.

they called me too, i didnt think much of it, i dont recall giving them my bank details, but they have them and one month they took nearly £50 from my account, i didnt really understand what the hell was going on, but my bank doesnt wanna know either, as far as they are concerned they've got my details, so i have agreed! how [***] is that?

called today, Theo Smith was his name....sounded good, thought i'd check it out on the internet before i gave bank details....glad i did!!! just another scam...STEER CLEAR PEOPLE!!!

Had about 5 calls from this number yesterday and today...when I answered, no one tals, any idea how to stop this number calling??

I had a call from this number earlier today and googled it and found this page. Reading the comments I decided it was probably just a scam / lottery thing but they just called again so I answered and it was actually the company I took out my travel insurance with calling to sell me some more insurance.

Essential Travel was the name of the company I bought insurance with.

I called the number back to see if anyone answered and what they introduced themselves as. Was greeted with an automated service, the company is called 'Telegen UK' who are apparently a telemarketing company who carry out calls on behalf of their blue chip clients. Like I said in my previous post when they called me it was on behalf of the insurance company I just bought travel insurance with 'Essential Travel'. There were options to be removed from their mailing list, which I did.

No idea why other people are getting dodgy fake lotto calls and scammed out of bank details.

rang me today answered it and they knew my name and my daughters name they were claiming they were frm child trust fund but it sounded dodgy to me so i hung up on them.

Ive just bought travel insurance and given my mobile number as a contact, so assuming its been passed on to these marketing people, what joy. Another number to add to my phones auto-reject list.

Registered with TPS and received two calls from this number but no voice communications from calling party.
Called number back and voice message claims to be from Telegen UK who seem to be based in Brighton.

Just got a call from DTD European services saying that I had entered a competition in March as was in line to win an Audi or something else.  He then went on to talk about the Euro Millions syndicate and some Haggle card.  As he was talking I googled the company and saw everyones coments.  I stopped him in the middle of the conversation to tell him the comments to which his reply was that everyone who had but a comment was a past employee of the company who had left unhappy, or been fired. I told him I wasnt interested and only to phone me when I won a car!

Bought Travel insurance from AXA Tuesday, started receiving calls from that number Wednesday!! Phoned to be taken off their list and then got two more calls Thursday. Wonder what will happen Friday?

i too had a call from this company telling me i had entered a competition and was in the running for an Audi TT or £10.000. I don't remember entering a competetion but let her carry on talking as i was interested in how this call was going to pan out. Emma Brown (real name...!)tried very hard to get bank details out of me, but i never give details like this over the phone, hurrah, after reading all these comments i am glad i didn't! I managed to extracted details of her company and checked the website and this site. She is calling again tonight, ha, this is going to be interesting... thats if she calls!

I have just recieved a call from 08700102714 claiming that i had won a audio i was unaware that ihad entered any competition but they gave me time and date of entry. The very polite guy then went on to explain in some detail about the euro lottery scheme that if i paid £44 that i would recieve some 200 lines and would be bound to win but all this was free to begin with they did not require my 16 digit card details but wanted to know by sort code and account number when i told him i was unhappy to give these details over the phone he try to inform me that these details were genrally known on my cheque book, and asked what my problem was, i told him that i did not give these details out over the phone to complete strangers. He then thanked me very much and hung up. I too am very glad that i gave him no information after reading these messages.

Just block the number, I have.

I got a call from someone claiming to br DTD european services said i could win a holiday or an audi.... pmsll Anyway they then went on with the usual sales talk to get me to sign up to a lottery. They knew my name address and D.O.B. They asked for bank details and i told them to f**k off, that was my exact words. They had the cheek to call me back within 30 seconds asking for my details i just cut the call off. In responce to anne 19 August post. They told me their number was 08448802598 and that they were based 273-287 Regent street W1B 2HA.
I have no intent to even look them up i see them as scammers.

I feel the need to post again after reading some of the posts. I do agree with what some of the people are saying that you enter yourself into this type of thing, what i would say is the guy who called me claiming to be from DTD LTD was as good as begging for my sort code and account number even after being told to f**k off. He also had the cheek to call me back trying to bully me into giving my information. I am not stupid he only needs sort code and account number to set up a direct debit. He never once mentioned during the conversation anything about a direct debit. Im sorry but no one gets my bank details over a phone and deffo not a company ive never heard of.
They got my mobile number so they can call me when i win the audi or 10,000.
