They've called me before, so I added them to my telephone's directory as 'x' (because I ran out of the allotted 30 barred numbers), so that when they called this time, I knew not to even consider answering them.

Had a Yell salesman in our shop yesterday and politely told him we did not want to receive any calls from yell. and today I have 3 calls from yell already in the first hour of trading. All from this same number.

Received call on my business number from 0800 371104 that showed up on caller ID. Ringing back, a man said he represented "Yell". I asked him where he was based and he said he was in Manila, Philippines. I decided this did not sound right and said I would pass on any listing in any yellow pages directory, before hanging up.

Hung up as soon as I answered.  Probably testing for live numbers.

I get these calls and there's no one there when I pick up.

This is deffinitely HIBU (Previously YELL.Com), they wanted to check that i was happy with my business listing & to confirm my details were correct.

I just phoned HIBU customer services & they confirmed that the call came from them.

I received a call from this company calling itself "Hibu, the new home of Yellow Pages". It was an unsolicited call. I did not answer, and voicemail was left asking me to call back.

I do not know if the company has anything to do with Yell.

This call was from Hibu, and theyt asked me to call back on 0800 777457 Hibu is the new name for Yellow Pages publisher.  It seemed to be a genuine call updating their records and my free entry listing for 2014 edition.

This is Hibu - they spam my email regularly too.

Called me today asking to update my Yell.com listing.

Felt very scammy to me. Took ages to connect, sound like it was connecting to a different connection and then a chinese woman came on.

Just hung up on them

F..k OFF PEST: 0800371104 - get a proper job. You keep on calling my number, and you try on my other phones which don't take annoymous calls. One more call from you and I'll be filing a case against you for harassment!

Called this morning.. they hung up before I could answer.. Looking at the previous comments here Ive added it to my iPhone blocked list :)

Called me too - was very dubious as to whether this really was yell.. So I played a little!

Another scam pretending to be associated with Yell.com

A useful tip for iPhones is to Create a new contact with the number calling you(name it as Scam, [***] or something similar) the go to settings - phone -blocked and add to list. You won't be bothered by calls from this number again. I have 132 blocked numbers so far.

Guys, just get yourself a call blocker; plenty on ebay from £17 upwards. I have the Pro Call Blocker which works very well. When you get a cold caller just press the red button and you never hear from them again on that number; the phone doesn't even ring!
