- RobertI wrote to Virgin Media and they have confirmed that the calls are from their marketing department. They have certainly had an effect as we won't be renewing our contract.
- Caller: Virgin Media

- mfmanEvery day they called and after a week of telling them to stop calling guess what? Yes they kept calling saying I agreed to be put on a list allowing companies to call me and when I asked them to take me off it or tell me how to take myself off it they didn't know... One thing is the fact they were phoning me on my mobile! This phone is only for family (a relative that is very ill) but when my virgin media phone, tv and broadband were all off for a day I made the mistake of using that phone. I've told them this but it didn't affect their attitude. I hear many other VM customers are being harassed since the big push by two other BB, tv & phone companies I think they are worried but this wont help it will probably make it worse.

- ShelaghI got a call from this number 20 minutes ago.
Caller said she was from virgin media, I couldn't understand most of what she was saying.
She asked for the first two digits of my password.
I said, "but you me, I didn't phone you?"
She said something about "if you are worried" and hung up!
I called 150 from my land-line and virgin media were able to confirm that it was a virgin media assistant who'd called from their review team.
Pretty strange way to do business if you ask me!- Caller: virgin media
- Cedric PoppletonGot a call from this number. It appears to be from Virgin Media. I have been offered a seat on Richard Branson's first probe to Mars provided I take the TV XXL package for two years. I am hesitant to go along with this because it will cost me another £32.99 a month. In any case, it could possibly be a scam because they couldn't give me a definite departure date. It could be as early as 2019 or as late as 2024. I will be 81 in 2024 and the age limit is 80 for Mars, apparently. There would be no guarantee that I'd get a refund from the extra TV package if I was unable to go to Mars on account of my age. Can anyone out there advise? To be safe I will decline the trip.

- tom| 2 repliesJust got a call from this lot, can't say who they are as no one spoke when I picked up.
My phone has the option to put numbers on a reject list so that's what I have done.
possible reason no one spoke is that my mobile is registered with TPS- Caller: Unknowm

- Liz in LeamingtonHave telephoned my mobile 4 times, I answered on the 4th - wanted confirmation of my security and for me to give first two characters of my Virgin Media password. I refused and asked for a letter to be sent if any information wanted. The (male) caller said not to worry about the first to characters of the password, they had other security questions they could ask me. I replied that I did not feel comfortable about this and did not wish to answer any further questions.
- Caller: Said they were phoning on behalf of Virgin
- Call type: Survey
- RichThis is the first time I have had one of these calls on my mobile. I am with Virgin but have never known them to do this even on my land line so I guess that it is not Virgin. But wont be answering it if I get another.
- Anoni Mousecannot believe this guy with strange U.S accent went on so much about how upset virgin customers were with the new price rises. It was like twenty minute of over-the-top nonsense. He promised virgin TV channels were to be added to my package - due to the response of vigin customers. I told him virgin wouldn't give away something for nothing - and put the phone down (after letting him know I wasn't happy with his b/s and him thinking I was born yesterday! lol.

- Malcolm Armstrong| 1 replyPlease stop ringing me.
- Anthony ButterworthWhen I first received these calls I emailed Virgin and asked if the calls were from them, they replied saying that they did not know the number, but that I could register to have this kind of call blocked for £2.70 per month, I then received a couple more of the calls and rang on 150, I was told that it is a marketing company on behalf of Virgin based in the Phillipines and if I would like to block the calls by taking me off of their calling list, hopefully the calls will now stop.
