- Jackie Ingramfed up with this caller
- lee woodcalls or 4 times per day ,,hangs up when answered
- feddupthis number keeps calling my mobile even though I told them I'm not interested.
- Caller: supposedly Virgin
- poppi| 3 repliesthis number keeps calling me every [***] day on my mobile a it's really pissing me off. HOW THE [***] DID THESE PEOPLE GET MY NUMBER??!
- simples replies to poppi| 2 repliesyou or someone else has disclosed it but in all likelihood it's an autodialler that merrily chunders thru 000s of numbers sequentially every day till they get a "live one", simple.
then once they know it's live, number goes into a different database that they'll use to call all the time, until you tell them to stop. if they continue to pester you, then you can and should report to the ICO as the caller will be in breach of the Data Protection Act.
unless you owe them a debt, in which case they can and will continue to pursue you for recovery.
does not your cell have a reject/block function built in?
if not, it's obsolete so change it. tiresome calls, end of! sorted. simples. - poppi replies to simples| 1 replyhas this number ever called you?
- simples replies to poppihi poppi, no, they've not rung me, thankfully, but it appears regularly on this forum; many say its virgin media & certainly google has conflicting reports of "yes it is" / "no it's not", so that's not a lot of use.
are you with VM?
a recurring problem is that numbers can be disguised/falsified that our telco's seem unable to prevent, so your call may not have been made inside the UK so outwith jurisdiction anyway.
if it were me, then customer services at VM would be getting an email to ask them what they're playing at and what they are going to do to stop harassing you .... just a thought. good luck. - GrubsterHaving some time on my hands this week, I did actually call the number listed. Automated (female) voice, that I recognised from dealing with VM's Customer Service team previously, cuts in straight away, who confirmed that I "may" have had a call from them, & they would call me back. I then hung up. Seems "legit".
Probably their sales team selling something I don't want; I live in hope it's some kind of new service I can trial, or a cheap / free upgrade; but I doubt it.- Caller: VirginMedia
- chrisavrilI have had several calls from this number to my mobile phone (the number of which I hardly ever give out except to close friends and family). The caller never replies.

- MargaretBeen getting daily calls on my mobile from 0800 4089341 for a few weeks. Been ignoring them but today finally answered the phone to ask them to remove me from their mailing list and remind them I am registered with the TPS. Man was very rude. Said he was Virgin Mobile but I doubt it as he was also adamant my broadband is with Virgin which it isn't.

- EdThis number calls me every day. Have answered a couple of times and it's just silent. Now blocked the number.
- MugadoonHere we go again. This number now calling on a regular basis. Hanging up and presumably waiting for me to call back. Not likely in this life time. I thought I had blocked the number but that doesn't seem to have worked either. Very annoying and it is about time either Virgin or the governing authorities did something about it.
