I keep getting the same bloody number ringing me up to 6 times a day!!! Grrr!!!!

This number calls me every week. Who is it/

call from 08004089341 from 'Virgin Media' offering deal. Asked for my password! No chance.

Started by saying that she had good news for me, and then kept on asking for account details. Claimed to be Virgin Media. Said I had to set up a password in order to proceed. I refused, and she ended the call - I never heard the good news.

Call me at least 3x a day I just ignore them as they will only try selling me more crap products

Been ringing me constantly for the past few days, finally answered the last one and it was some asian women called 'Cheri' claiming to be from Virgin Media saying she can save me money on my phone package .....straight away asked me for my password which I ummmmmm'd at then she said well just give me the first 2 letters to start with, I again refused ....she then said 'ohhhhh go on , give it a try' .

I very nearly gave it her but asked her what package I was on, and she got it wrong! I then politly ended the phone call.

Sounds like a third party to me, not actually virgin media but gets commision on sales, however why they would need passwords for that is beyond me.

who is this and what do you want from me ?????

3 Pages saying it's Virgin!

everyday for the past 3 weeks i have had missed calls from this number. Who the hell is it and what could be so important that they have to ring everyday. Very annoying.

this number phone me every day and i wish they stop phoning me.

i got a phone call at 1 pm today and my husband says it has happened every day this week at the same time,silence when answered,getting p***ed off now with them,i work all week and would like to be left alone in my leisure time.

I just received a call from this number (070211 at 1830).

Claimed to be Virginmedia, and said he was calling with good news as regards saving me money on phone bill.  He then proceded to ask for the first 2 letters of my password.

As far as I am aware, NO reputable company (be it bank or service provider) will contact you cold, and ask for details.  I may be over-suspicious - but this reeks of scam.

Never ever give out details to anyone calling you cold!

Keep gettin this number callin. Have ignored it up until now but reading the comments below and laughin can't wait till they call again so can return the annoyance factor!!

yep same vigin trying give me free upgrade to 30mg broadband , but i had to pay £30 conection fee and £4 amonth extra. id rang virgin that morning to make my bill cheaper!  kept banging on and said not intrested banged on some more about cheaper calls for extra £8 amonth .told her i got offered the same for £4 a month that morning and still declined the offer. defo third party ,aim gona get on the wind up now especially as its obviously the same no that calls 3-4 times a day. but i never answer normally.

I had several of these calls yesterday and one today.  My phone has a screening facility and since I've got a stinking cold and keep coughing, unless it's someone I know, can't be bothered answering the phone.  My attitude is that if they can't leave a message, then I don't want to know.  Thanks for the heads up that this is probably scammers at work.

08004089341 is the number that's been ringing me too.  3 times yesterday, approximately 2 minutes apart and once so far today.  Very annoying.  Phoning people constantly, 6 or 20 times a day is harrassment and there are laws to deal with this illegal activity.  If it carries on, I will report them to the OFT and anyone else I can think of.

We do use Virgin and if we want to upgrade anything, then we will contact them.

It's Virgin Media, just called the number back and it says so.  Had around 20+ calls this week alone and don't answer on principal as they want me to buy a bigger package, already have phone and broadband with them.  Answered one time in the past and they wouldn't take no for an answer when I said I didn't want or couldn't afford the TV package on top of what I had.  Just ignore.  I've added them to TPS, try the website.  I did it for my home phone and never get any calls through like this.

I received a call at 9pm tonight and they wanted to speak to the wife, would not talk to me. This was on the wifes mobile so I asked them to hang on whilst I got her, popped them on hold and called virgin.

THEY ARE NOT VIRGIN MEDIA.

By the time I took them off hold they had gone, shame

this caller rings every day sometimes twice a day, i used to answer but they never spoke i,ve even called back a couple of times but get no reply so i,ve given up i just press busy on my phone an forget it, but its sooo annoying, they even ring when i,m at work and were not supposed to recieve personel calls so its got me in trouble a couple of times, there must be something that can be done !! please let me know..
