I have spoken to capital one on numerous occasions and have even written to them about my situation, as got made redundant.

They keep calling even though i have told them numerous occasions that they are harassing me.

Next step im taking is to take legal action

They ring my mobile constantly even though I told them I'm sending info from CCCS and provided my client number etc, now i answer and go through all the security questions giving random answers, are you sure your --------? Me, defo, It's me. Or answer and start firing questions at them, followed by "it is written in the prophecy" I'm on my ar#e here and I'm damned if some little herbert is going to talk to me like that. I've nothing against foreign call centres per say, but these are just the dregs of the worlds losers who make talking to Sky TV a rewarding experience

This number has rang my phone EVERYDAY for the past 2 weeks.
At first they wouldnt even tell me who they are, however they claim to be capital one credit cards.

I've never had a credit card through capital one and I tell them this everyday!

So fed up now, if they ring me again I will make a formal complaint towards them through Ofcom, and might even concernplate contacting Watchdog.

These are either scammers, or a company with a serious lack of customer service !!!!!

Had this problem for some time. Have rung them and written to to them telling them I have nothing to do with Capital and it was my son who once had their card. Even though they have his new number and mine is ex directory and they have assured me they will remove my number from their list, they still persist in phoning at all times of day
I will  be writing to my MP but I doubt this will help Anyway they have lots of 08005 nmbers so they will just change it.
When they do speak to you they dont seem to understand English

Capital one , my payment was one day late
I paid my debit card and three days later
they are still bombarding me with calls.
The payment can be seen online yet they say
not on their systems .
They said I was in default if I had lied about
payment , [***] , look at your bloody screen.

why do these people keep calling me and who are they?

i dont mind crap 1 calling me at home but how! do i stop them calling my work,please help anyone

Eight missed calls in the last few days, from very early on Sunday morning - great for a lie in. Always pay my bill on time so if they really wanted to contact me they could simply leave a message! But is that too easy?

Just checked online - seems missing paper free bills meant I forgot to pay last months bill - oops. So this looks like it is for overdue balances. Why the heck not tell me by message so that I could have paid it earlier?

I just bloomin spoke to Capital One on the phone and they said they would stop calling me as I had paid my bill and set a direct debit up for tomorrow - but again they're calling me still!!! Very annoying

They are still calling me despite now being almost £500 in credit, weeks after I corrected the mistake! Still no message left when I "miss" the call so they obviously don't want to speak with me... so why carry on calling?

They are not hanging up, its standard call centre pratice, they use auto dialing machines that dial more phone numbers than they have people to answer, because statistically x percentage of people wont answer the phone, but obvoiusly statistics dont often pan out much in pratice

They ring 100 people, when they only have 80 staff, 90 people answer the phone, so 10 people just get cut off straight away and this happens everytime they use thier auto dailer, which for a high capacity call centre is hundreds of times a day. i'm pretty sure its illegal for call centres in this country to set the stats so low, because of this very reason, but even if its a british company, if the call centre is not based in britain, its not governed by these laws, yet another reason why all these companies have foriegh call centres.

whats interesting though is i googled this number because its phoned out Absence Line at work repeatedly ! lol

Yeh its capital one credit cards keep calling to collect money of which I have paid them

It is Capital One.  They are looking for me partner who came to arrangement over his debt with them 2 weeks ago ... payment is due next week and they agreed to that and yet they still keep calling him, several times a day.  We are just ignoring them now.

36 calls from this number and 01159938311 so far this week. I have spoken to various managers who claim Capital One is not bound by the Data Protection Act or the Telecomunications Act and that their calls are not harrasment.

I have reported them to the regulator and will be seeking substantial damages.

Even though I have set up a re-payment plan with Capital One, and received a letter back from them saying that it is satisfactory, they still try to contact me several times a day. I just refuse to answer them !

I keep getting calls from the above number when i answer they just hang up they have called four times to day i have no idea who they are.

got a call - one of many from this number - this evening 8pm, Capital One collections Dept. Called them back and was told they had no idea why they rang because i have a zero balance and no payments due. Additionally any payments are made via automated direct debit... so if there is a missed payment that is their own fault

I wouldn't hold out much hope of complaining solving the issue.

Capital One calling up to 18 times a day despite me not being a customer of them. To quote the letter from their Executive Response Centre "we do not agree that calling this number at this frequency is harrasment and will not be removing this number from our records"

Complaint now sent to the Financial Ombudsman and the Information Commissioner (who they claim they have never heard of)
