I am being pestered on this phone no. by Capital One, for a debt I paid off, in full,  on behalf of my late husband, who passed away nearly two years ago   Shameful.

I have had 21 missed calls from them over 3 days, no message, going crazy

get loads of calls from this number but no one there when sometimes I do pick up my phone. I don't have a capital one card!

You know that its illegal to call you more than 3 times a day and not after 9pm. If its Capital One tell them you suffer from a mental illness and all this harassment is making you worse. By law included in the Mental Health act they are not allowed to harass you.

Yes it is capital one i just rang them back  if you have a capital one credit card it's to do with that if you haven't then tell them x

I highly doubt this number is connected to Capital One.
I received a call from this number but I was unable to take it.
I have Call Guard installed on my phone which will only put through calls to me that are in my phonebook, the unknown caller can choose to leave a message or announce themselves, if they do this then I choose whether I want to speak to them, this caller chose to leave a message but quickly hung up.
I’ve Googled all of Capital Ones freephone numbers and the above number or any that are similar is listed so I think we can safely say that it is definitely a scam call.

when they ask for details say you are not prepared to go through the security check as you have no way of knowing that they are genuine, If the call is genuine the call has to end , if they persist with the call  just claim that you don`t think the call is genuine and hang up .. remember its them that wants money off of you .

I keep getting calls from this number and when I answer nothing is said and after 7second I gets hanged up ( 08005610170 )

Just had a call from this number at 20.56!!! Absolutely ridiculous ringing this late at night, I have 2 babies as well that keep getting woken up by my phone going 10 times a day!

Continuous calls and hanging up as the call is answered.
