same number keeps calling is it a scam

Got a call from this number today at 3.45, as soon as I answered they hung up. Who is this?

I just called them back out of hours and the message was this is NPower

Just saved my small business a fortune and I mean fortune on my gas and electric bills, signed a contract over the phone so easy, thanks for being so persistent with me, gladly recommend.

I got call from this number and guy said his name was David Church, wanting to speak to someone who dealt with the electrics, he said his company was called 'empower'

Called every day (sometimes twice) for last two months and never leave a message or say anything when I pick up. Were also ringing my mobile but I have blocked them on that.

This is Npower Business, business electric and gas, automatic dialer has been calling you john, you seem to be a bit shy of a phone call i see, people like you pay a fortune for your electric! dont be scared of a salesman, they can only sell if you buy from them, its not an angry x john!

I too have received a call from this number. I have found out who it was by calling them. It belongs to NPower for Electricity or Gas supply.

This is the seventh call from Npower in a week, despite requests to desist

A call centre phoning on behalf of  Empower wanting to reduce the cost of supplying electricity to businesses.

I am getting these calls twice a day....every day from this number. Usually around late morning or lunchtime. They never speak but someone is at the other end.

Trying to sell us Electricity

I am receiving at least 3 calls a day from this number,It is N Power!!
If I answer they hang up. I have stopped answering now and they do not leave a message

This number is for NPower

Some [***] called from this number, asked for someone who doesn't work at the company I work for, we do however use Npower, he asked if we bought gas from Npower, claimed he couldn't look through his own records to check because of the data protection act (????????????????????)

clearly not Npower, clearly a tuppence, case closed

Just to warn everyone, this number called me consistently on 10th nov 2014,  I mistakenly redialled their number but when I realised what I had done, I cut the call immediately (before it even started ringing), yet I now have a charge on this months bill of 33p for a call length of 1min 19seconds, the call could have been no more than a few seconds - maximum. Do not call them back!

Cold caller. A call from this number to my business, asking to speak to whoever deals with the energy supply.

A scammer for sure.  Your "?????" is justified; the Data Protection Act applies only to people and in fact only to *living* people.
