i dont give my mob number out 2 companys so im a bit confused....

keep getting this number & they hang up so i've no idea who it is or what thety want

This is nPower. If you call the 0800 number back, an automated service asks you if you want to stop telemarketting calls by pressing 1. I did it, and haven't received any other calls. Finally, a telemarketeting system that works if you ask them to stop calling!

The number IS npower, after reading on here a few days ago that you can call back the automated number and press 1 to stop being called, I did so. They called again today so much for being removed and not called anymore !!! So now they are going to be e-mailed and warned that calling me again will result in them being reported to TPS AND the Police for harassment let's see if they think they're clever now. If that doesn't work for some reason, I suggest we all take their next call and sing their praises so highly that you just have to have a rep come round a.s.a.p to supply us with their wonderful product and when they arrive, slam the door in their face. See how they like it. Ponces.

every day get a call from this number, always no one there when we pick up. Once or twice have had a company ringing to offer better prices, but to be honest haven't checked the number after wards, so couldn't say if it is this number. Getting really fed up with them calling every day.

I had this call today, picked it up, bu it was dead, have been registered with the TPS since July 1999 and am most unhappy.

If it is Npower then even more unhappy as i used to be a customer, but am not now, so they have no valid reason to ring me.

Offerig to quote is a marketing call and therefore one I don't want :(

N POWER.

They claimed to be N-Power both when they called and on the recorded message on the return number. However, when I called N-Power on an advertised number a very helpful manager said that N-Power's marketing team always call with number witheld (which raises other questions, of course). I'm registered with TPS and she was initially uncooperative in trying to find out why I had been called (she thought I must have ticked a box on U-Switch or something similar). When she heard there was a return number, though, she became more interested and promised to follow up and respond to me. Let's see. Anyway, it might not be N-Power, it could be someone who takes commission from N-Power or it could be a remarkably long-running scam.

This number is the advertising and promotions line of N Power. They keep calling and calling to try and sell there products. If you call them back you will get a recorded message with an option to have your number removed which I have done and it has worked... Wooohoooo....

I have recieved 4 calls from this number aprox 2 - 3 rings and they hang up, I decided to ring them back and got an Npower answer message advising me to choose option 1 to remove my details and when it is chosen I am informed that "unfortunatley they cannot remove it at the moment and to leave my details and they will remove them later", the funny thing is as with a few of the people in here this was not directed to my landline but my mobile. I believe there is nothing sinister in these calls apart from some of the underhanded ways they obtain your number.

I've had three calls from this number in the last two days. Both the first two were silent when I picked the phone and I dialled1471 to get the number. The latest one I answered, I spoke to somebody from NPower trying to save me £200 on my electricity bill. I declined and got the number with a 1471.

So it appears to be NPower and I wish they would stop cold-calling. If I want to check my supplier's prices I'll do it myself.

said he was selling gas and electricity and gave me prices over the phone but when I said that I would not sign up over the 'phone he hung up

The Npower mob keep calling and as we have caller display its never answered. have complained to TPS but it continues so i emailed them and used their site procedure. Threatened them with the police  on all occasions. If that's what it takes then i will try to get them done for harassment. Just a bloody nuisance. If i do get a live one on that number think I'll throw a few F's etc their way!

Was called from this number today.  Didn't answer, let it go to the answering machine, no message was left.

when I called the option had changed to two not one, I guess they got wise!

06/08/2010 approx 14:20 Silent call hanging on completely blocking landline phone. 10 minutes later line is still locked up - hope I don't need 999 while these irresponsible [expletive deleted]s are still abusing it.
