Who is this? - how to stop cold calling?

Keep getting repeated calls from this number. Have not replied as I do not recognise this number

Same, they call me everyday and I was thinking I was the on,y one but if it's a mass amount of people then I'm guessing it's a scam

Automated message about accident compensation, they keep trying. They call about once a week. Gets really annoying after a while because they phone at odd times. Don't answer just reject it.

Missed a call from this number last night, thought it looked a bit funny, so checked on here to see all these posts.  They phoned again this morning.  Will be storing it in my phone as PEST so that I know it is them again and will not answer it.  We do this with INTERNATIONAL calls on our caller display on the landline too.

You better read how this Forum works.  Scammers/fraudsters/telesurvey firms DON'T pay attention to posts, however polite. And they're even less likely to know (or care) when you're abroad. From most of the posts around yours, you'll not be wanting to speak to them so add it to your phone's "blocked/spam" directory, available on most modern makes. (If you don't have this function, it's time to upgrade.)

Called about the accident I had !!! Pity I can't remember it.

Amnesia makes a welcome change from whiplash, unless you're a dominatrix. (apologies, couldn't resist it, but it is the weekend ...)

My phone is pay and go and have not given my number to anyone except my spouse

Phone three or four times a week and at weekends complete pain as if you answer the line goes dead.
