From this & other similar numbers, i.e. 0843 prefix, in many cases the whole point is to try to get us to call back which is where the fun starts!  Just ringing our line costs THEM nothing (& usually call terminates before it can be answered) but THEIR hope is that some bill payers will ring back to see who phoned.  Calls to 0843 from a landline cost from 1p to 13p per minute (plus a call set-up fee) but from a mobile, they're between 5p and an eye-watering 41p per minute (guess which end of that spectrum most of these charge!) or part thereof.  Source: OfCom July 2014. From what I've read, most returned calls are never answered but go "dead" and you'll still be charged even if you hang up after just seconds.
Just think, for every 1,000 mobile calls made to 0843 #s may generate up to £430 for scammers, less your mobile provider's "share" of the spoils from your next bill.

Number called with automated message about an accident I supposedly had. Getting loads of these calls lately. Added to block list

Getting so annoyed with this Every day How do they get away with it

Went to my Voicemail - automated call, usual rubbish looking for a response. How did they get my number??

Telemarketer call. Calls every single day. Looks like some company somewhere has sold our personal information to third parties (as usual.) Still odd as I never put my mobile number down for anything. They'll probably get shut down eventually.

Receiving a call from this number nearly every day, very annoying. Why OFCOM or authorities does not help virtually thousands of victims? there are plenty of complaints about this number on Internet

been getting calls from this number on my house phone and mobile.
i decided to listen to the message, without speaking as this is usually the trigger for the message, and right at the end it gives you options.
PRESS 5 TO SPEAK TO/GET A CALL BACK FROM AN AGENT
PRESS 9 TO REMOVE YOU NUMBER FROM THE DATABASE/GET NO MORE CALLS.
I pressed 9 on both phones and the calls stopped
