- Andy replies to getalifeOh, and stop using so many exclamation marks. You really are a prize wazzock.
- GranddadIf you've paid your bill and still getting calls, just go onto the O2 website and talk to someone online. They will soon put a stop to it. This is my preferred method of contact with O2 as it happens in real time and you don't have problems understanding any strange accents! I've been with O2 since it was Cellnet and phones were like housebricks. The only time I get calls from this number is when my bills overdue!
- Caller: O2
- Call type: Event reminder
- SKAThis is genuinely O2, NOT A SCAM. Morons who say it is. I recently moved bank accounts and the direct debit didn't go through as it wasn't done in time, they rang me from this number to make me aware.
Excellent customer service.- Caller: O2
- Call type: Debt collector
- mojacarkev| 2 replieshad these o2 muppets calling every 15 minutes since i cancelled 2 contract phones and told them i'm swopping my home-phone/ broadband supply away from o2, as if by magic they now decide i;m still within a contract for broadband even though contract period ran out in 2010 ! and funny enough my phone keeps disconnecting ever since i prised a migration code out of them !!!!!
- Caller: O2
- Nan replies to mojacarkev| 1 replyJust out of interest did you accept an increased broadband speed offer before your contract was due to end? This happened to me with Virgin. I thought it was just an offer to existing customers and had no idea it entered me into a new contract. When I came to cancel my services with them because of their appalling service, they claimed that I owed the almost £100 because I was still in contract. Just waited until the day after this "new contract" expired and then cancelled everything!
- Alice replies to NanI got O2 on a successful mis-sell charge for this - the speed with which they put their hands up makes me wonder if this is standard training, and that most people don't notice/won't be cancelling anyway. Shady.
Anyway, back on track, they've just called from this number again. I'm not only up to date, but due to fat-fingering the automated payment, am £20 in credit.
Can't think for a moment they're calling me to tell me that.
Contract's up in February. Bye O2 - I've been a loyal customer of your various incarnations since 1990, but too many [***] ups of late. - Nick replies to Alex BellMuppet's indeed paid hem 2 weeks ago bored or what 9y3
- IslaI just got a call from these people. They said I owed £58 plus. I called my bank and it was debited from my account over a week ago. Ridiculous. You can't even speak to anyone to discuss it. Ahhhh!
- Caller: O2 payment recovery...I think
- Call type: Debt collector
- andy replies to jennysue19all our call centres are in the uk !!!!
- KatieNOT a scam - just an O2 reminder to pay bill, i get it pretty much every month, and then make my payment online.
- Caller: 02
- DCRits o2 automatic bill reminder service that is known for being stupidly persistant and also has a habbit of calling even after paying the bill AND after talking to o2 to remind them I've paid n owe nothing. they will probably respond by saying it can take up to 48hrs for the system to update...must be some poor guy in a back room that updates the system via [***] Morse code for it to take that long.
now I jus busy it when it happens. it gives up after a bit if you don't actually owe anything :o)- Caller: o2
- Call type: Debt collector
- Ob1Received this automated call....asking me to press 1 to ID myself etc.....never ever going to believe who it is or part with any information. After some research I believe it is actually O2 as my card had expired and so my bill hadn't been paid by DD.
This however is the WORST form of customer service and mis-use of technology. Its wasted my time and annoyed me....have been an O2 customer for 20 years and would now drop them on a whim....just not sure who is actually any better- Caller: O2
- Craig| 1 replyThat explains everything
I have been paying 1 bill on the 1st and by the 18th they are asking for another if they are scammers i have been paying them and then paying o2 as well.
Will definitely look into this further and get back to you all.- Caller: o2 apparently
- Call type: Debt collector
- wayneboI answered this number & they just wanted to know if I needed more data as mine was running low.
- LouiseDEFINITELY just o2s payment line for unpaid contract bills!! Jeez
- Caller: o2
- LouiseTo Craig..... That means ur bill is produced on the 18th (that is the day ur monthly data/ minutes etc reset.) You get til the 1st to pay it, which means if u pay by direct deb they will take the payment on the first strait out ur bank. Do not pay on the 18th as well lol. Confused me at first too :)
- Caller: o2
- Louise replies to Craig.. That means ur bill is produced on the 18th (that is the day ur monthly data/ minutes etc reset.) Thats the day u get ur email saying ur bill is due. You then get 2 weeks to pay, so.... You get til the 1st to pay it, which means if u pay by direct deb they will take the payment on the first strait out ur bank. Do not pay on the 18th as well lol. Confused me at first too :)
- MFPAI wish O2 could be consistent on how they ask for payment. Some months it is a text message when the bill is produced and another when it is due to be paid, other months instead of texts and advance notice it is just frequent missed calls from 08448471424 from the day the payment is due until about a week after I pay them, still other months 08448471424 leaves voicemail and/or text messages after it rings. Even the date they want payment varies by up to a week from one month to another (anything from about 2nd to 9th).
