We keep getting calls from 08450405921.  They don't leave a message and when I called back there was a recorded message saying they were Action Direct, and were selling some kind of insurance against being unable to pay bills.  I didn't listen to the whole message.  Another time when they called and I picked up, there was a recorded message saying we had won a holiday in Florida!

We have no part in being able to win a holiday in Florida, or anywhere for that matter so your obviously mistaken. We don't specialise in telling people they have won holidays in Florida. We specialise in claiming money back for people, due to the fact we are a claims management company

Also, we don't sell insurance against being unable to pay bills? We claim back money for people. We don't actually sell insurance.

I had 2 missed calls off this telephone number about 2 weeks ago, they called me back about an hour later and the lady I spoke with was really informative and really helpful. She explained the process enough for me to understand what was actually going on and we are actually going to go ahead with this. Considering the bad things being said about them on here, they have been nothing but helpful to me and my wife. Every time I have called the direct line given to me, they have always called me back within 30 minutes. Glad I found this to be honest but these comments won't stop me going ahead, looking to claim back a nice sum of money. Their website and testimonials are enough to put my mind at rest.

I went to the blog www.data-recovery-blog.co.uk and the .com but there is not any information.

Does anyone know what has happened to them ?
WelshBoi you must work for these conmen, have you thought why so many people are complaining ?

Making money from scams is nothing new and that's why we have laws.

Report these scams to trading standards at Bridgend.

Eventually investigative journalists will expose the conmen behind these operations and questions will be asked.

Trading standards will log the complaints and investigate if they continue.

Let us know the outcome, I did some more digging and searched for action direct in google
found thes websites all mentioning various companies all operating in the same way.

I work for them as an unpaid unofficial ambassador in my spare time. Everything they do is above board. I am not having an extra marital affair with a senior executive there. Just for the record. So you know. If you would like to join us for Christmas drinks just holler.

You make out like you are some kind of charity helping people.You are NOT!You are a business that makes money out of people and cold calls people over and over.Why do you harras people that are on TPS and please dont say its something to do with your data.You should NOT be calling these people.Also why is it after you have taken money from people that it seems very hard for them to get back in touch to recoup anything?

Stop cold calling and annoying people and you might get treated with more respect.If people want your services they will come to you,but you just harrass people.

Cant believe this bunch of jokers!Not 50 minutes have gone by but the idiots at the call centre call me again changing name from First Actions Direct to Action Direct.I said why have you rang me twice when i have had a call already within an hour from you,now have a second and im on the TPS.She just went "Ok" then hung up!These are indeed a bunch of clowns run by a scammer looking at the amount of companies the guy has had that has failed.

This number calls me several times a day when i have called the number back it asks me to leave  my name ect the company is called Action Direct.

Just had these call up while I was at my mothers, wanting to speak to her. Some annoying welsh numpty who when I said she was out said oh it might be of interest to you. Asked what he was selling, as they always are, all he would say it was action direct.
Seen the owners number...might give him a call on his mobile about 3 am?

Got a couple of calls from this number so far.  I had my answer phone on and missed both calls.  It makes me wonder, if it was that important, why didn't they leave a message??? Hmmm!  And, where did they get my number from???  Cold-callers should be rounded up and shot!  Cruel but fair I feel...

This number calls again and again telling me I can make a  payment protection insurance claim.

I have already complained but still they call. I read the  page http://www.datarecoverycompanies.co.uk/fields-group-c696.html   at the bottom I found the links to all the websites theses jokers say they are experts in.

What an amazing company to be expert in so many things.

Received yet another call from this number - Action Direct about Payment Protection.  I told them I was not interested and pointed out that I was aware of a number of complaints about the company on the internet.  I was told this could not be true as they monitor the net and they have not detected any complaints only messages of thanks from people for the services provided.  Obviously, they are looking in the wrong place!

yep another call this tim from 'First claim direct' looks like my work number has been hacked around all the databases gettgin very tedious about hte 10th one from several different - they say- personal insurance cliams da de dah good to fin this web site tho'

Got a call from Nick Sculptor in Stockport on behalf of 'First Call Group', about a claim for the mis-selling of payment protection insurance (which I've never used). Had a friendly chat - he said they'd got my details from the National Consumer Database covering credit cards, mortgages, loans, etc. When I asked for a phone number, his manager came back with a non-existent 031 number. He claimed it wasn't a sales or marketing call, but I reported it to TPS (Telephone Preference Service) anyway.
