I to have recieved numerous missed calls from this number, but today however I answered the call. Yes he got my name right, but who was he? when I asked him to repeat as to who he was he very rudely cut the call. I too am registered with PTS and often wonder why!!                                             Surely, if I wanted any of these peoples services I would contact them myself !! along with Help pc, double glazing + numerous others !!
A rule of thumb for anyone who's cautious, unless you contacted them DON'T GIVE YOUR CARD DETAILS !!!!!!!!!!  If their a legitamate company they will be happy to give you a national telephone number to call them (if you want to)
Treat all of these calls as scams!!

I have just recieved and answered  a call from this number, the caller asked for Mrs Thompson ( which is not me) when i told her she had the wrong number she then told me that the call would benefit me and help me claim back mis sold ppi, when i told her im well aware i can claim back my ppi without cost via websites like moneysavingexpert.com she wasnt put off and still tried to badger me into letting her "help me" asking if i had a mortgage and credit cards,  and she would call  me back at a more convenient time, i politely told her No a few times then said i had to go and hung up.
She was from liverpool as she have a very scouse accent.

I wonder if this is a thing they do often, asking for someone they know isnt  there and see where they go!

my mum has had dealings with this mob recently.  They managed to take £90 from her account despite her NOT GIVING THEM HER CARD DETAILS!!!!   Please beware!!!  
She had already successfully got back missold PPI and she told them this.  They reeled of her card number to her and took the payment despite her telling them not to.
They are now claiming that she did but gave her back £80 as  goodwill gesture!

ok, you have a ccl (consumer credit licence) but you also need to be ministry of justice approved, what is you MOJ number???

You can make a complaint to the ministry of justice, and there is also trading standards, they have the authority to look into these things for you, and it really is the only way to stop it happening to others.
Trust me when i say they will take this seriously.
You should of had a full refund, and any other expenses, ie phone calls and if it caused you to go overdrawn, then the overdraft fees refunded...
TELL THEM THAT ALL CALL ARE RECORDED AND YOU WANT A COPY OF THE CONVERSATION SENT TO YOU.
I would also be very interested in how they had the card number!!!!!
You need to help take this further!!!!!!!
If no one takes it to the ministry of justice or trading standards then they will just keep getting away with it......

I am absolutely sick to death of this company phoning me. I have lost count of the number of times they have phoned me. Often They have cut off just as I answer. Also if I do get to answer the caller immediately starts to ask for personal information without identifying who is calling.

Absolutely sick 2 death of getting txts n calls from this company n many others! Told them on countless occasions I have NEVER had a loan or credit card etc but it doesnt seem 2 put them off n if u dont answer they try ringing u from a different number! How desparate 4 business they must be is all I can say

got a call from this company, but it was on my business line so i answered with my business name and the girl calling me said she had the wrong number, ive obviously put my work number into a website recently

Have received several "silent" calls from this number over the last few weeks. Have just managed to get there in time to receive the call - from "Tony from Action Direct". I asked him how many times "he" had rung my number and what number he was calling from. He rang off.

New landline, literally switched on at 11am this morning, told by my phone company that it hasn't been in use for at least 2 years and what do you know? This number called me half an hour ago.

Been calling for days and I finally answered. I politely said that this is my new number and the old owner of it is not here and I do not know them so please do not call. He said ok then launched into a speech about how they could help me instead so I put the phone down.

i answered and they hung up, this happens around 5 times every day, who are they ?

I had a call today from the number asking how I was... I threw them by asking how they were then calmly pointed out I was TPS registered to which they said all their numbers are checked so perhaps my number was not registered correctly.
My reply - why are you the only sales call I have received in 3 years of being registered then?
Answer - perhaps your company you registered with is no more.
My reply -regardless why would you be worried and check numbers if not TPS i this is not a sales call? I suggest you remove me from yours and your other company data bases or I shall report you and take legal action.

At this point I cut her short and suggest that she did not offer guidance on matters that she knows are fully in my favour and that she conduct her work legally i then also advised her that i was having great pleasure in wasting their companies phone bills before putting the phone down...

24 missed calls so far!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely fed up with this number calling 5 times every day. Told them the first time to remove me from their database... but if anything... the volume of calls simply increased. I have told them I am not interested ... so what do they expect to achieve by constantly calling?? It is pure and simple harassment!!... but no matter who i complain to... nothing helps. I get around 20 of these types of calls every day. Something has to be done to stop it.

Had a call from this number but as was driving just ignored it as dont answer 0845 numbers.
