Hmmm, I too am on t-mobile, so this seems to be the common connection right/ BUT, I am on a pay as you go phone....

I brought my British phone back to Australia and was suprised to find 3 missed calls and no message. Whats the emergency? Googled the number and I'm amazed to find so many people had the same thing occur. Wont be returning the call after reading peoples comments.

I get calls from then around the time of renewal. Also had a letter from "chitter chatter" which, at first, seemed to be an official T-Mobile notification of an upgrade.

Someone has obtained T-Mobile customer and number information. They knew when my phones were due for renewal.

This is either due to a certain phone insurance company or T-Mobile are not adhering to the data protection act.

I did not authorise any of my details to be available to third parties and yet somehow, tacky phone retailers are contacting me.

One thing which really stands out is that the correspondance I received contains the same typo error as used when I first joined T-mobile. So either the T-Mobile shop, T-Mobile back admin, or a phone insurance company has obtained and sold my details.

Those who have received calls such as from 08454122700 or letters from phone retailers, can you confirm that you also had phone insurance with your contract (even if you cancelled it within a few days).

Just to confirm that 08454122700 IS T-Mobile. It is their Doxford call centre in Sunderland.

The "chitter chatter" letter and related numbers which have called recently are not T-Mobile. I have not yet had an answer as to why those third party companies knew my contact / contract renewal details.

Ive had several calls from this number in the last 3 days ignored them all
I presume its someone trying to sell something
or its the phone scam where when you answer its a call from abroad and you pay the bill

I do not understand because i am on pay as you go so why would they be ringing me about renewing my account?

lol got a call off this number googled it found this page, so i guess its for renewin ya contract, i aint even had this contract a month yet so damn they must be keen, can they really do anything else to anoy me, am already thinkin about cancellin me contract, with the errors i have had with them, took too much out of my bank then i get it sorted and now this argggghh

I received a call from this number yesterday, glad I didn't answer it. My contract actually expired about 3 years ago and they are just calling me about renewing/upgrading now?! I'm on a very good deal that they don't offer any more so no way am I going to "upgrade!"

Constant calls from this number day and night around 30 calls a week answered it once and someone burped down the phone and hung up. [***].

i'm with t-mobile but i'm not up for contract renewal. never answer any calls i don't recognise number on so really couldn't say what they were after. i end up usually putting repeat callers on my reject list. this is the next number!

they are callers from  t mobile when your contract up for renewal. they call you to save you doing all hard work

Thank you all guys, I just had 2 missed calls from this number, didn't answer and googled straight away.

This number has been calling me two/three times a day for the last few days.  I am on a T-mobile contract and renewed it sometime in mid-January 09.  T-mobile called me at that time from an ordinary Nottingham number, so I answered it and sorted out the renewal over the phone.   Therefore, have no idea why this 0845 number is calling me now!  

I have not answered these 0845 calls and they never leave a message. Can't be that important then!

Cheers guys... i havent answered so it may well be t-mobile but my contract isnt up for renewal for another 3 months so its a bit suspicious and im regecting the calls.

This number (the most recent in a long line of cold-callers) called me this morning. I didn't answer as normal; if it is important then they will call back or leave a message. They didn't do either, so I ignore them.
The reason a lot of you get calls with nobody on the other end or with an automated message is because the companes use an auto-dial device to call hundreds of numbers at once. A lot of the time they have too many people being called than they have operators to take the calls.
So, they could be calling you in the morning/late evening and bothering you for no reason at all! Friendly folks.

All you people need to get onto the Telephone Preference Service. Any third parties or call companies that phone without your permission will be doing so illegally. Get registered!

I have received a call from this number every day for the past 3 days but missed each one.
If it is T-Mobile it's very irritating as I am just 3 months into an 18m contract with them.

I Have Had two Calls from this number today I agree with John They can pay to call me if they wont me!

they have called me and they never answer back there really annoying.
they have done this a few times now. i want it sorted!

got 2 missed calls from this number today both times i was at work, but i only got this contract phone two months ago it can't be to renew my contract after only two months

i beleive this is scam number people who have answered please check your bill when you receive it and check for anything unsual and then please leave a note to say
