I received three calls today and by good fortune it seems missed them.
My T-mob phone contract may be up for renewal however I will rightly treat the number with suspicion.

    Cheers

Claimed "I am calling *DIRECT* from T-Mobile". Sounded fishy. Tried to sell me internet access via mobile phone. Wouldn't take no for an answer. Hung up on him.

i have entered the number as a contact in my phone book as "stalker" so i know to ignore them - i've had the same problem with Tmobile calling from a different number (also logged under "stalker") which i found on this site with similar comments.  I don't really care if it's Tmobile or a third party - an unwanted sales call is an unwanted sales call

Had this call 3 times today and answered it on the 3rd time.

They asked for my password and gave me my memorable info reminder, so they do have details and it is T-Mobile.

My contract is up for renewal, so they were offering me an early upgrade package.
She noted that I am not using my current package to the full, and should look at scaling it down. (Which is true, so again, suggests it is T-Mobile)

Was extrememly helpful with details of phones on offer, unfortunately the two I am looking at, samsung omnia hd & Toshiba TG01 won't be available on T-mobile for at least 3 months.  :-(

I **HOPE** you didn't give it to them!
NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER give out your password to an unsolicited caller, no matter who they claim to be.

Same here - called 150 from phone (tmobile) and they confirmed it was "an offer" - in this case mobile broadband (odd since I cancelled web n walk plus last month because of poor speeds and coverage). Operator took note of "don't call me again" please - we will see.

Strange thing is I answered twice and just got an echo - so they struck out there trying to sell me something.

Nothing about this caller rang true for me. Stated they were from T-Mobile and that my contract was up for renewal. I asked them for his name and the company he works for saying they I am registered with TPS.

    Immediately hung up on me.

Lodged a complaint with the ICO.

Recieved call from this number yestoday. They claimed to be T-Mobile and to offer me an early upgrade. We talked about options and I said I would like a call back on the following day (today). I'm waiting for the call at the moment.

I did call 150 and asked the T-Mobile support if the number belonged to them, the lady said it didn't and T-Mobile never offers early upgrades, not even 1 day early.

Even if it is a third party, I will try and haggle for a good offer as I was planning on staying with T-Mobile anyway. I'll let you know if the upgrade is legit.

I got a call from this number to, i had been getting calls from 08454122750....notice that the number is same apart from the 50 at end....according to another thread on here that number is a marketing company who were operating on behalf of powergen...so it wouldn't surprise me if it was them. It's certainly not t-mobile tho.

Further to my last post yestoday, I called 150 again and didn't quote the number this time. I told them I recieved a call from T-Mobile about an upgrade and the lady replied "Yes, there is a note on your account saying that the Loyalty department tried calling you...". I asked if this is deffinately part of T-Mobile to which she comfirmed.

I have been offered a T-Mobile G2, which I believe is exclusive to T-Mobile and no third party companies (such as Carphone-warehouse, Phones4u etc) sell, this is some evidence to suggest it is T-Mobile!

It is all very unorganised and it seems none of the T-Mobile customer support staff know whether the department is from T-Mobile or a third party! I'm going to take a leap of faith and go through with the upgrade non-the-less.

Odd.  Had a missed call from this number.  Checked here, then phoned up T-mobile (150)

Had a memo on my account to show I'd had a call from their "loyalty" department, or something.  Got put though to them..... they said I'd had a call from their "outbound" team, about an upgrade BUT they couldn't offer me anything yet as my contract wasn't up until October, but if the outbound team call again, they may be able to offer me something early.

Must be a third party acting on behalf of T-mobile....

I had this number call me last week. I answered and it was a lady claiming to be from t-mobile telling me I was a high value customer and entitled to an early upgrade on my phone. I asked to phone back later that day as I was busy at the time. She never rang back and when I went to a t-mobile store to enquire they said there was no record of me being entitled to anearly upgrade. I think it may be another company trying to scout t-mobile customers.

Received a call from 08454122700 a few moments ago. Returned the call and was greeted with a recorded message saying the call was from T-Mobile. I was told that I need to take no further action.

I called T-Mobile on 150 and queried the call. They have no record of a call made to me in any official capacity, nor do they recognise the number. Since my number is already 'ex directory', I'm puzzled as to why I'm receiving calls from unsolicited numbers.

Have 5 or 6 missed calls from this number just today. I never answer 0845 numbers unless I know what they are. I upgraded my phone less than 2 months ago so am not due an upgrade. Even if you are due one, I'd suggest you don't answer this call! (Seeing as they are just trying anyone, not just those ready for an upgrade)
