08456021111 called me 1st Sept 09 at 17.55. I didn't answer and no message was left

I just had a strange phone call from BT which read out a text message.  It said something like "sorry ladies but we've had to go for the expensive option and tickets are £6 each instead of £4".  I've just 1471'd and this is the number that came up: 08456021111.  When the text was read, the number started with "07"

Just received from this number 08456021111 . Very Bizzare as it said that I had a text message and I don't . wierd

It's fine! It just means that someone sent you a text to your home number instead of your mobile number by mistake.  If you answer the call it will tell you the number of whichever friend sent the text and the time that they sent the text.  You can then contact them in the normal way.

received a call on 8th sept 2009 with a text message from Fredericks International giving me an 020 number to ring urgently regarding more than £5million.  Did 1471 and got 08456021111.  There is an internet site under Fredericks International where other people are stating it is a BIG SCAM

Just had this and it was a "we can legally write off debts etc" Got that far and i deleted it. Number phone it was sent from was 07717989660. Not impressed as am getting calls from the 0301 number aswell (search it on this site) it better not be the same tw4ts!!

I had a call from this number to my work phone saying " welcome to BT's SMS text store, you have no new messages". I have never signed up for this service, and certainly would not have done from my work phone. I wouldn't trust it.

Just had a call from 08456021111 saying it was BT text service the message was from a loan /debt management company, wanting me to ring them with my name and bank details for the direct debit. do not know who they are and i have not applied for any loans or debt management, this is just a big scam to get peoples details.

This number has rung me 7 times today (its only 3 pm now) looked on here and decided from other comments that I must have a text message so rang the number back to be told 'you have no text messages'. Hmmm, so why the hell do they keep ringing me then!!! Very annoying.... I can't even think of anyone who would have my home number that would be likely to send a text, I tend to always use my mobile.

just had call number 5 which i answered it is bt message service leaving a text for me
follow instructions after the message and it tells you how to change preferences
or to stop the calls comming through
this service is automated and is why it keeps ringing unless you change the preferences

Had 2 calls and BT message from  Frederick International, a Debt Collection agency. Followed by this number 0845 6021111

I have thretened to sue them for harassment which I believe I can do. If they call me again I will certainly take legal action.

These people are nasty and bully you - hence the late night and weekend calls! I won;t now answer my phone unless I recognise the number.

0845 numbers can be purchased for an initial setup fee off £29.99 then £19.99 Anualy.

Perfect breeding ground for scammers...

The house phone rang twice at about 1.30am this morning! Both calls were withing a few seconds of each other.  I got up and did 1471 and it was from 0845 602 1111.  I didn't ring it back as the message said 'to return the call - press 3, there is usually a charge for this service'  I can't believe it would be from a genuine source at that time in a morning, especially not as we had received a call from another number (0800 587529) earlier in the evening which seemed to be the same kind of thing.  My advice is to ignore it!  I have now unplugged the house phone, anyone that I want to ring me has my mobile number!

I answered my girlfriends phone, was this number, i pressed 1 to listen to message from a mobile number as the message ended 'love graham x'!!! Shes saying its a scam???? Couldnt make out the message tho. Im confused and annoyed!

This is a genuine text messaging relay service to your landline. It will keep ringing you back until you listen to the message. A family member mistakenly sent a text to my landline instead of my mobile number. I rang 08456021111 and unfortuneatly the recorded voice reads the text as it is written in the text short hand we all use. As such most of it was inaudable. You can opt out of the service.

Its 23:03 on Wednesday night and the phone rings whilst my partner and my 2 small children are sleeping... who rings this late..

got a call from this number, from what i have read here it is an sms service. My housephone accepts sms so why did it not just come through as usual? Strange

Ringing hourly - till 10.30pm

This number 08456021111 has phoned me twice within the last 10 minutes, I picked up the first time but the phone was put down at the other end. Have just informed my other half whose directed me to this site and low and behold as I'm reading through the comments the swines have phoned again, to say I'm more than miffed is an understatement!
