- HelenHad a missed call from these today-do not know who they are and do not intend to answer the phone to them, if it was important they would have left a message?!
- not teling you....It's a debt collection agency.....I know because I have dealt with them, you owe money pay it!!! I owed money so I paid it, debt will never go away so deal with it....Does get worse if you don't trust me....I have been there. But you are right you call the number, it says they are busy then it cuts off!!!!

- ShakMy incident is prety similar to Jo's , and honestly speaking i woudl jsut ignore it ....and eventually they will go away..well lets hope so :)
- DarylThey called me, could hear a woman talking in the background, all seemed very unproffessional, they guy talking to me knew my name and asked me why I was having problems with my payments. I don't have problems with any payments, and if I did, I wouldn't respond to this call once he'd hung up before I could answer.
Are they trying to get people to ring thier 0870 number and benefit for this somehow. Im not calling back to find out more, but I will report their number to the relavent authorities as soon as I figure out who they are.- Caller: d and L
- lockygot this call today, they hung up, i rang back and got an indian woman, told her to go f*** herself, and if anyone else called me they will get told to f*** off aswell
- Caller: D&L
- NicolaThey just rang me and I'm glad I didn't answer- I'm always weary of numbers like that...if they don't leave a voicemail I know that its nothing important
- Sarahthere still at it i had a call from the mtoday but they hung up when i answered!!
- Caller: unknown
- StLedgeThey called me about an hour ago, first call in months. I don't answer the phone to anyone I don't know, but all I do is call them from work and harass them, its quite liberating if you have received the amount of missed calls as I have.
If you have the facility where your phone doesn't give out the number (and you aren't paying for the calls) give it a go, trust me, it's fun :) - lyndseyyeah, these have been ringing me for almost a year now. i've answered once and it was a debt consolidation group.these people get your number if you've ever put it in on a money compare site.i've been hounded ever since by these sorts of companies
- JoThis company called me when i was out of the country - i jst hung up, didnt have a clue why or who they werent making any sense, so.
they have rang a total of two times, but i will probably block this number as there is no way im doing business with a total stranger u know what i mean.- Caller: Loan company
- KevYes I keep getting a call - no one there when I answer !
- joker1they called me when i was on the laptop - i had an "ultimate warrior sound board" open at the time. i put them on speaker phone and started screwing with them a bit. call didnt last too long after the "hulk hogan" sample got rhymed off after they asked me my name
- KevCalled me 9 times in 2 days. Every time I answer I get a few seconds of silence, I guess as their internal phone system passes the call to the next available person, at this point I hang up...
- Mr Retributionwelcome to our section about PhonepayPlus
PhonepayPlus (previously known as ICSTIS) regulates phone-paid services in the UK. These are the premium rate goods and services that we can buy by charging the cost to our phone bills and pre-pay phone accounts.
We focus on pre-empting and preventing problems - the key, we believe, to effective long-term consumer protection.
We regulate services using our Code of Practice . This sets out the rules with which all providers of phone-paid services must comply. Among other things, we require:
clear and accurate pricing information
honest advertising and service content
appropriate and targeted promotions
We investigate complaints about phone-paid services. Where we decide that our rules have been broken, we can fine the company responsible, bar access to its services and even bar the individual behind the company from running other services under a different company name. Our investigations and adjudications service is free to consumers and fully independent.
Under the Communications Act 2003, Ofcom has responsibility for the regulation of premium rate services. In December 2007 it was confirmed that PhonepayPlus will act as the agency which carries out the day-to-day regulation of the PRS market on Ofcom's behalf.
We are non-profit making and consist of ten part-time Board members, supported by a full time Executive. We regulate the content and promotion of services through our Code of Practice. We investigate complaints and have the power to fine companies and bar access to services. In addition, we offer free copy advice and guidance to both existing and new service providers.
PhonepayPlus Limited is a non-profit-making Company Limited by Guarantee, registered in England under Company Number 2398515.

SE1 2NQ - Melshould there not be a limit on how many times a day these guys can call you, im receiving calls every ten mins but cannot answer as i am at work, they are a nuisance
- karlI agree with everyone here, I wish i knew which of the so called 'trusted' companies i'm registered with i.e. insurance etc that felt the need to make some cash on the side and sell my personal info off to these lot.
Thankfully i can see these people for what they are, however if one of my older relatives was to receive a call from these guys they may be panicked into taking a loan out with them. These guys should be stopped completely they are a modern disease on our phones. - LeeI just got a call from this company, asked for my wifes name said it wasnt her phone and asked who was calling and they just said sorry bye and hung so i tried ring back to the message "sorry all our operators are busy please hold" then it went dead tried a couple of times! But it doesnt say what company it is in the message!
- Caller: ??
- elizabethI keep receiving calls from this number also. I know about the TPS list but although it should stop them calling you it doesnt always work. I used to work in a call centre for Weatherseal and when ever someone was on the TPS list they lied and said they would take the number off the system but they didnt they just didnt call back for a month or so. also when i worked there we were sometimes asked to say we were calling from other companies so you cannot guarantee which company it actually is.
- a| 1 replyFinally answered the call from this number this evening - asked them to hold while I put their number into google to get the feedback as this site is just brilliant :) and then I asked who they were - an indian woman asked for me to confirm my name - I said again who are YOU and she told me I was being rude and hung up :)
I put my info into a internet money supermarket type site to compare loan rates and these calls have started since then.
I have now saved the several numbers that are ringing me and called them 'do not answer'
I think I might have to change my phone number as my phone is for emergencies only so the school can ring me if there's a problem - it used to never ring and it still makes me jump as i keep thinking the schools ringing and theres a problem
I hope the phone monitoring people are aware of this site and are monitoring it to see how much trouble these companies are causing innocent people
