After yesterday's ruling by the General Optical Council to suspend OE optometrist John Margetts for a year, I'll bet there's loads of optom's who are now a bit twitchy & with him having been given this level of punishment for his behaviour, I'll bet AccuVision optometrists Vikash Patel, Nick Dash & Joan Griffin will be twitchier than most !

Does Daryus Panthakey watch the 'Trust Me' drama on BBC1 about the fake doctor ?

I note that the General Optical Councils offices are next door to the Old Bailey Criminal court which won't entail a long walk for the Accuvision optometrists who have aided abetted clinic owner & non-surgeon Daryus Panthakey illegally performing eye ops over many years once they are brought to account !

This is all utter [***]. First of all you don’t have to be a surgeon to perform laser vision correction (hence it needs regulation)  it’s not actual surgery like cataracts or refractive lens exchange. PILLAI at Advanced Vision Care and Allamby at Focus aren’t surgeons, they only perform laser vision correction and bring in surgeons for RLE and cataracts. In the UK optometrists openly perform YAG lasers as cataract top ups so lay off Accuvision!

CT Pillai and David Allamby perform LASER EYE SURGERY and are both on the GMC medical register.
But #DaryusPanthakey and his optom kids at #AccuVision are not!

No optoms (legally) perform YAG outside the NHS: "YAG laser capsulotomies are only performed in hospitals funded by the United Kingdom National Health Service.
