I reckon someone Bored is maybe not so bored,
it looks like you are not too busy to find out what everyone has to say!

This is quite important for your career development. Take it as a learning experience.

I dunno- i still think that people who do not intend well will ultimately fail.

If it were my company watchdog wouldve been enough to knock me out of sleep for the next 10 years.

But no- they 'refute the claims'

I probably wouldve turned up on set and told ann robinson in front of the nation  how I am so very sorry or at least gave everyone my deepest assurance that I would do everything I can to ensure that all my customers has the best experience possible and could trust my company.

But i suppose one cannot make promises they do not plan to keep. and i suppose you do need substance for that too.

Retail optics is a small community.Everyone knows what goes on.They are all, quite rightly, scared of this man.Nobody will publicly criticise him.The company yes but not the man.

So what will it take for justice to prevail eh? News International is fighting a storm of criticism due to te hacking scandal but if what you say is true, Optical Express is run by a man who genuinely frightens people in the Optometry world. You would think that over the years someone would have managed to start the process of bringing him to account?

That's not how it works and i'm sure you know that.Look at Tesco and the way they are able to pay dairy farmers less per litre of milk than it costs the farmers to produce. In business the bottom line is everything and like Tesco Mr.Moulsdale is very successful at getting people to give him their money. This man was introduced to Gordon Brown when he was Prime Minister and has been to social events at the Scottish First Ministers residence.
We created a society where money is everything. Now we must live in that society.
People with power and influence like having power and influence and generally don't want to rock the boat.So if those with the power don't want to do anything about people like Mr.Moulsdale, who will start the process of bringing him to account.Well the only people left are us.The ones without anything to lose. The sad thing is that collectively we do have the power to do it.All we need to do is stop spending money in his shops but that will never happen.
Mr.Moulsdale is not really the one at fault here.We are, and i include myself here, because we are weak enough to let him get away with it.He is simply the arrogant, bullying, over confident child who has grown up believing he can do what he wants to whoever he wants because nobody ever stopped to tell him that he couldn't.He is right.

What is actually the problem here?  Optical Express is run in such a way by David Moulsdale that it makes money.  Success story for him.  And success story for his hundreds of thousands of satisfied customers.  You may be unaware, but he also gives a lot of money away to charity.

    No problem at all:

So we've seen how the Optical Express ads and sales tactics have worried some medical experts but the procedure patients go through before surgery and the information that they have been provided with is also cause for concern.

**PLEASE NOTE:  Watchdog failed to mention the fact that their 'expert' Professor David Gartry has his own laser clinic, running in direct competition to Optical Express, where he charges substantially more for laser treatment - sour grapes perhaps??

Also, if you had watched the entire programme you would see that Watchdog actually had to RETRACT their opening comments about Padraig Harrington - as he has indeed been treated by Optical Express, as stated in the TV ad.

    Poor researching all round.

Received a call to book annual eye test, I said I would book one when I get round to it.
5 calls later, they are still aksing me to book an eye test, this is why I will no longer be going to OE!
Stop hassling me, reminding me once was enough! You just lost another customer.

when businesses give charity it is taken from marketing funds to preserve the company image.

There is no company out there who is so charitable for the sake of being charitable.

If they genuinely were they would set themselves up as not for profit organisations

Whoever is talking about these companies being angelic and charitable needs to get a grip on reality.

    Seriously. Are you feeling ok?

Some of you people are such [***].  You're willing to enter to win free laser treatment but can't even make the effort to have a consultation which is free. What's to say you're even suitable to have it? You people want to have a treatment thats worth the value of £395 - £3000+ for sitting on your [***] at a computer. Walk down to your local corner shop and they prob won't even give you a penny sweet for free. [***].

Actually ridiculous. Entered the online competition just because i can and in the past 48 hours i've had 13 calls from them despite me instantly rejecting every call they've thrown at me.

Wonder how long they'll keep it up for, cant they take a hint?
