    @ ExOE
"There was a discussion going on but you decided to stop it with support from Insider - probably same IP as you"

There was no discussion, just childish re-posting to ensure that the view of one faction or another stayed on top.  I decided to challenge that and suggest that, if there was nothing new to say then don't post. I don't collude with Insider or anyone else on here.

I'm nothing at all to do with Insider, Anon, Wondering or anyone else posting on here.  I'm nothing to do with OE either.  If the moderator cares to check IPs he/she will find that no-one else posts from my IP, unlike the transparent multiple aliases used by others.  I'm also registered with this site, unlike the majority here.

Does anybody really believe that poppy and In_the_Know are different people?  The exchange could have come straight out of a 1950's TV advert.

Has anyone else noticed how one of the factions (posters?) here always accuse someone of being an OE plant if the post does not entirely endorse the party line?

That's a bit rich when every time a new bit of scandal is uncovered about Optical Express such as their barefaced lie about their new location with a frankly totally spurious picture of an old shopping centre location instead of a true picture of a small upper floor flat in a converted small residential house, Optical Express posters immediately try to put Sasha down. Pot calling kettle!

    @Ismellanoerat

    You've just proved my point!

My goodness what a scandal - a misleading photo published.  Notify the Fraud Squad.  As if anyone would be stupid enough to not realise that the location they were visiting was not the one in the photo.

Thought you said you aren't coming back -

the point is that optical express put in a photo of their old store in a recent press release of their ' new store opening ' which looks like a flag ship because they are probably embarrassed to tell everyone the bit where they have moved to apartments -

Next maybe we will find out that David moulsdale has got a bedroom in every flat too !!!

    Ha ha ha ha ha

The point is - just in case you don't get it - it's MISLEADING -
Turns out moulsdale might be quite good at misleading people !!!!

Why all the fuss over a photo?  Having worked in the publishing business I suspect that the photo had nothing at all top do with the Optical Express press release.  Optometry Today probably used a stock photo to fill a space.

If misleading, Optometry Today could well be the culprit.

are you trying to tell me that a bloody important press release like Moulsdale probably trying to prove he is not completely going down the pan whilst announcing his flat opening is not going to want to know every last detail of that press release ?

Total rubbish -next you are probably  going to tell me optometry today wrote that whole artical by themselves and optical express know nothing about it

You must be very stupid or very naive .

Hugh started the fuss when he came here to tell us about the press release  -about the replacements flats that OE are moving into whilst depicting a large flagship on the article - and now looks like OE are embarrassed because Hugh posting here has probably backfired .

    Well done morons .

So now either ( you claim )  you don't know what optometry today are publishing about your company which makes you lot [***]

Or you are trying to mislead people into thinking you are opening shiny big new shops whilst you are actually moving into flats which makes you lot look like [***] .

But which ever way you want to play it u still look stupid . Don't worry

With respect, I think the fuss is more to do with why OE refuse to answer previous posts wanting confirmation of the new location address in High Wycombe?

    Old Bank House
    Suite 6
    39a High St
    High Wycombe
    Buckinghamshire
    HP11 2AG

Neither is the new location address listed on OE's website - or is it hidden like the train to Hogwarts!

I've just looked for the new location on the Optical Express website.  Hardly hidden.  Try using the clinic locator, then click on High Wycombe ..
    http://www.opticalexpress.co.uk/stores/high-wycombe-old-bank-house-213.html

As for refusal to answer, it's only a guess, but maybe they're shut over Xmas or can't be bothered to answer when the data is on their website?

    @Wondering
What a t*sser you are.  "a bloody important press release" indeed.  Take your blinkers off and think instead of just reacting.

It's the kind of cr@p that companies dish out on press releases all the time.  No, Optometry Today almost certainly didn't write the Optical Express press release, however, I do suspect that they used a stock photo to accompany an official press release.

As for calling me stupid or naive, I'd be surprised if you have two brain cells to rub together.  How do you know that "Hugh" was actually from Optical Express and not someone else intent on boosting this thread by knowing just how to press your button?  Probably an Ex OE employee.

You are so predictable.  The only ones looking stupid around here are the paranoid tw@ts like yourself who believe that Optical Express are lurking behind every post that doesn't specifically criticise the company and that think their repetitive posts are credible.

Presumably recently updated as I checked OE site yesterday when two different High Wycombe addresses were listed, one indeed at the Eden Centre but I don't recall the other.

It would be interesting to hear from someone who lives in High Wycombe perhaps able to shed light on whether the new OE premises actually have a high street presence of any note?

Ok I'll just stick with my usual boring stuff then .

    Summary of
Views and comments from forum on David Moulsdale- the owner of Optical Express

    1. He has no interest in the wellbeing of his workforce, which is why he abuses his position of trust as an employer to prey on and get involved with young females (employees) through lies , hires multiple bedrooms at his Optical Express Christmas parties and gets his PA to pick up for him. ( as Alleged by 'EX' a commentor on this forum )- I think he therefore demonstrates his attitude towards the the duty of care he has towards his employees.

Another commentor called ' Chang ' has dubbed David Moulsdale the ' Jimmy Saville of the eye world '

    2. Someone anonymous  called 'ex' has written on this forum , insinuating that David Moulsdale is using drugs. It is rumoured previous to this that Moulsdale has been using cocaine according to 'speechless.'

3.He is so interested in the best standards of eye care that he (as Sasha Rodoy alleges) has offered a government campaigner a bribe- in contravention to the bribery act and the law, not to campaign for government legislation in laser eye- surely the better option was to work with her?

    4. In Personnel Today 2005 it was reported as follows

'Optical Express/The Dental Clinic has been accused of managing its staff badly and ignoring employment regulations. Personnel Today has received a letter from a source close to the company detailing a number of questionable employment practices - all of which have been denied by the management.'

    5. David Moulsdale been reported in the papers to have affiliations with a well known scottish gangster.

    6. He seems to have no problem with removing feedback about him from the internet (eg this forum, ex staff of optical express facebook pages and wikipedia) so and trying to inimidate people to not be involved in saying anything negative about him- probably so he can drag more people into his fantasist life of no consequences. (The ex staff of Optical Express had nearly 200 members with mainly negative feedback which has now been removed from the Internet )

    7.  David Moulsdale has had his company offer complaining customers refunds - allegedly( Orml info) only when they sign a gagging order stopping them from telling others about their experience. see opticalexpressruinedmylife.co.uk

    8. some customers who have struggled to get refunds and or compensation have written testimonies on opticalexpressruinedmylife.co.uk-

    9. There are comments on this forum suggesting people feel intimidated by Moulsdale eg .'bob etc'

    10. Moulsdale has borrowed heavily from RBS (to make his millions) which has been bailed out by taxpayers to run a business which has recently caused an 80 store subsidary go into administration and job losses, causing tensions with landlords as reported in the Telegraph.OE was accused of shutting shop before the rent was due .

    11.  in 2007 Optical Express became engaged in a dispute with HMRC . This was over a disputed 10.9 million pounds in taxes.

    12. Optical Express has been reported in the Which magazine as being the worst performing optical chain

    13. Optical Express were featured on tv programme Watchdog which sent undercover  customers into their stores. They accused OpticalExpress of providing misleading information to customers and underplaying risks of laser eye surgery .

Don't worry, I'm not going to have a heart attack.  Believe it or not, I had no idea who Derek Branning was until I looked it up on Google.  I thought that it might be an in joke of some kind, but you're obviously too shallow for that.

Passionate no, annoyed yes. I really ought to have more compassion for the unfortunates like yourself, especially at this time of year, but morons with delusions of competence, like yourself, just p*ss me off.  Especially when your immediate reaction to someone new was to slap them down.

Yes, go back to your boring stuff.  You don't have to think about that, which is just as well, you're obviously not qualified to think.

Interesting link- possibly suggesting that complaining customers trying to get refunds has been an ongoing theme at optical express and not a historic problem.

Mousdale- I think that is disgusting especially since you thought your business could afford to ship employees to Spain for 'conference' parties .
Well- you made your customers pay for that it seems and now seemingly the ex landlords pay because those customers dont seem to want to come to your shop again.

Hey ho. Blame that on sasha too- or is it the recession this time-  - Loser ...
Dont know how anyone can sleep at night ( probably in some mansion somewhere) knowing someone out there is waiting to have their money back for a refund- its disgusting.

    Id rather sell my house.

    Anon's Ghost
[ I might as well pay the £32, which is probably exactly what the company was hoping for. When she put me 'on hold' (or so she thought) to let the payment go through she laughed together with a collegue saying something along the lines of 'this final letter always does the trick' only to return to the phone still laughing.]

    LOL

If you have any proof of wrongdoing why not complain to the authorities. This is all muckraking. Gmc; Asa; Cqc; Hmrc;  Police; Drugs enforcement; us imigration; all would act if there was any proof. Men liking women and booze is not a crime
