Another call at 12:35pm - happened to be in and answered it - female voice asking for me by name when I asked who was calling was told 'it's about your talktalk line' - then went dead.  Annoyed me so much I contacted TalkTalk customer services and this is there reply:
"The number stated I do not recognise that as a TalkTalk number. We do
have a service called last Caller Barring were you can use a code to
stop the last call that rang you, if a number is given when you press
redial. This service usually costs £3.80 but due to it possibly being a
TalkTalk number, if you would like this, I will request a credit for the
first month as a trial. However, after the month it will become
chargeable.

Please reply back to this email if you would like this service adding
and we can provide you with the code the stop the number."

Come on TalkTalk are you havin a larf??  It's either TalkTalk or not - make up your mind and I certainly am not paying to stop you calling me!

Rung twice a day for last three days, sometimes rings then stops other times rings and stops after answerphone kicks in.
We are with TalkTalk and so it adds up that its them.

If you are having problems with contact from this number it's probably worth taking a look at www.talktalkmembers.com/forum and posting up to say you are receiveing these calls.  If the number can be traced to TalkTalk and you dont want to reveive any more calls we can remove you from all internal marketing provided you are a TalkTalk customer.

AOL and Talktalk are not the same company you moron, Just Carphone Warehouse have bought out AOL UK. Same with Talktalk and talktalkbusiness, completely different companies.

Had a call from this number today - rang them back, voice message saying they were AOL - and im not with AOL

just called the freephone number at talktalk which i got from www.saynoto0870.com got a friendly voice at the other end who immediately removed my tel number from their calling lists.
hope it stays quiet now.

i got theses calling me the other day and when i answered it i hears the woman ask for the owner of the landline so when i said yes that me she said it again like she couldnt hear me.....

i rang back and it went to an AOL answerfone

Just had one today, after a pause the hackles raised immediately as foreign woman who spoke very poor English on the other end.  I instantly went into anti scammer mode.  Asked to speak to me by name.  Couldn't make out what she was saying so without saying anything myself I hung up.

This number called again today,nobody speaks when I pick up the phone.This is the third time this week that this has happened.

Received call at 1724 on a Monday on my office telephone number. Indian sounding woman said "Hello, is this a business number?" I said "yes". She said "Sorry, bye" and hung up.

Odd.

This number just called me and claimed they were AOL trying to give me a free laptop but they asked too many questions for my liking and lots of background noises and she sounded Sth African,I just said `sorry the conversation is a bit too silly for me,bye`and put the phone down.

I have recieved two calls over two days. The second call had a CLI designation of international. Thea say they are calling from 1 Portal Way London but they are not. They have rung me on a business line that is registered with the corperate tps. The are miss leading. They say working with BT. They have no connection with BT. They say they are working in your aree; they are not.

Strange that I used to get NO cold calling on BT - changed to Talk Talk landline (who FORGOT to withold my number until I challenged them once the takeover was complete) and now I am inundated day and night.  I can't wait for my 18 month contract to end!!!  I don't answer the phone now - leaving it to go onto answerphone and I always get a hang up tone.  Very irritiating.  Last number that did this (which I traced on here) I eventually answered the phone and gave them a torrent of abuse about the 41 previous hang up calls they had made - they didn't ring again.  Maybe I should try the same...  Oh - and I used to be an AOL customer and they were just as bad (although my contact number wasn't released until I changed to Talk Talk so I don't know who is totally responsible!

Answer to Craig - the comment re AOL/Talk Talk - that person you are deriding seems to know a lot more than you!  They are not a moron - maybe you should check the definition!  Although the companies are separate trading entities they are all part of the same corporation...  Enough said!

This number left me a 'Hello? Hello?' answerphone message today, called it back to get a recorded message saying it was AOL and they'd call back.

I have just answere it after ignoring the phone call for the last few days (they phone at 1730 without fail). A woman who spoke very bad English said she was form talk talk and asked to speak to the account holder. I said he was not in so she asked if I could make a decision about the account, to which I told her I could. She then told me because we had been with them for 15 months we qualified for 6 special services - I switched off at that point. Its obvious the call is being recorded because she made me agree I had heard her after she explained each new service! She then sped up inwhat she was reading and all I heard was you get 50% discount!! She then said are you happy for this to happen. I told her I didn't want to change a thing, and she sounded frustrated and told me nothing was changing all that was happening was talk talk were saving me money !!!! The cheek! So I said I don't want my call plan changing, again she said it wasn't, so I said what are we saving 50% on then? To which she replyed you pay a sub on 4 pounds something for the services! But other people would have to pay 9. I put the phone down, but its really annoying to think that these companies record you call and if you verbally agree to anything they use it as contract. You can't tell half of what she said, and she definitley sped up when she talked about the discount. BEWARE - DO NOT SAY OK TO ANYTHING YOU HAVE NOT HEARD PROPERLY.

Called several times in the last week. All calls were silent, except one I had today just now (12:00UTC) when the caller claimed he was from Talk-Talk and wanted details from me as a "security check". I terminated the conversation when he insisted on more detail without disclosing the reason for the call.
