As soon as I picked up the telephone, they rang off.

Same here-  rang off as I picked phonee up.

The company claimed to be MBK Digital, and are trying to sell Sky Warranties.

I just received a call and asked who they got my details from, they said "various" sources.  I have been on the TPS for years.  They have now said they will remove my details though.

They word their calls to sound like they cover your sky equipment already by default and that its about to expire (my box was bought from Sky and the year warranty ended over 5 months ago).  "Hello Sir, it's just a courtesy call to let you know your warranty is about to expire.  We provide the cover...".

They called today saying they were calling regarding Sky Digital, so I asked what they were selling.
The lady said "Why do you think we're selling something?"
I said "Because the last time you phoned it was to try to sell us cover on our Sky hardware"
She then said "Well it's just expired"
I said "The box cost us £7 so I really don't care"
She waffled something as I said "Goodbye" and hung up.

This phone number called me at 13:15hrs today, i let then answering machine take it, As soon as they heard that they hung up. How rude was that not even a message left, Well i know who they are now and programmed my phone accordingly. I WONT BE ANSWERING THEM, I'M NOT INTERESTED .

Wonder who they bought my number off as they have not called before.
Well they will probably sell it on now to some other parasite cold calling company.

Just to follow up my previous comment.

This company is registered at the same place that a "Digital Satellite Warranty Cover Ltd" was, which has had plenty of bad press.

My advice to anybody who comes across calls from these people is to NOT buy anything, ask them to take you off their calling list, and put down the phone.

These idiots called me and tried selling my cover for our sky box, I tried telling the woman that if the box breaks we'll just upgrade to a hd box, she tried telling me sky would not let me do that, even tho she had just told me that the sky box was my own property. 10 minutes she was on the line as i fancied an argument and kept pocking hole in everything she was saying. These are a bunch of idiots, ignore them

Just rang my mobile again. She knew my name and address. "Just to let you know that you're out of warranty on your Sky. And they will charge £88 call out to look at it in future". I said that I'd just buy a new one and she was happy with that.

But I've only had Sky for 9 months... Very odd.

Just called and spoke really quickly so it sounded like she said she was calling from Sky. She said my insurance was about to run out, I thought this was odd as I dont any, asked where she was calling from and she admitted it was from MBK Digital. As soon as I said I dont have insurance she said oh and hung up.

Very rude, I don't appreciate being called by somebody trying to dupe me.

I actually bought a cover plan off them great company they sent me a remote two days after were sky wanted to charge me 13.00 and p&p there are numerous third partie companys that deal with sky cover sky dont directly because thats how the make money there is a company called SKY protect witch infact isnt from sky the word sky isnt copy writed so there company names confusing after my research MBK digital services are fsa registerd and are a ligit company and im extremly happy with my deal.

I have had the same problem, calling and saying by sky box is about to expire.  I was completely led to believe i was speaking to sky and took out the cover. The documentation is sloppy, illegal and unprofessional. I have given them 10 days to rectify the matter or I am reporting it to trading standards, and data protection registrar.

Got a call from these people, led me to believe they were from Sky Digital sking if I wished to renew my sky protection plan.  I said I did and they retook my details and have taken £25.00 from my account.  I called them and got through to a not very nice man who said there was no way the operator would have used the words Sky Digital and he would look into it.  Have not heard anything since and have reported them to my bank.  Trying to get an email address for them so that I can chase my money.  Spoke to Sky and they said keep away from them and for information if you have a Sky Protection policy through Sky Digital it never needs renewing as it just carries on unitl you cancel it.  Beware of MBKDigital Services

Skyprotect ha what a joke!!!! its not sky ,its just using there name and paying sky (Rupert murdock)  a percentage, they sometimes take 7 days 2 come out 2 ur property that's because we all think we've got 2 go with them... there just a independant company same as all the rest.

I think the point was that if you are stupid enough to take out warranties or insurance on Sky equipment at least use a company that is not a scam. Of course they are all slow when something goes wrong and a joke! Scam artists and the official Sky Protect included!
