Ive been getting these calls for near 2 months. From different numbers every time. With about a 4/5 days break in between. They call for 2 seconds then hang up. Everytime i call back i get the same message about leaving my details so ive given up bothering.

call today at 15:39, rang once then stopped? Who are they?

Called today by 08716654044. 28th August 12:06GMT. Best steer well clear. This number will have been allocated by a UK phone company. Suggest they are identified and reported to ofcom.

Phone 08716654044 called today at about 12.30 on my virgin sim card phone which I hardly used.  Looks like a scam to me, so I won't be replying

This number called me while I was in the US (i'm from the UK).  I will be reporting it to ofcom but if I incur any charges through my mobile provider I will be taking legal action.  I'm using a Virgin sim.

I just had my first call from this number 15 minutes ago, same message about dialling an international number.....

I got a call from this number today and I got it out of my pocket and it stopped ringing, I thought that I had pressed something but looking at the comments, they must have hung up!
I called back for 5 secs and it costed me like 50pence!!! It must be a con or something as they want you to phone them up and give them your number to bombard you with stupid adverts! Hope someone tracks them down!

I had a call from this number today, same thing they just gave me 2 or 3 rings and then stopped. Then I started to dial the number insted... then it asked me to "please enter your iternational or uk destination number".

So please be aware

Got call at 13.11 today. Same thing when rang back it said enter international dialling code then it said this was an incorrect number!

just happened now so typed number into google this is all probably part of some massive plot to get me to type the number into google

Heh we're becoming quite a club here - just got called with this number as well but didn't answer it in time. I seriously don't understand how an operation like this can legitimately carry on for long.

Sure any company can set-up a premium rate line but to play a misleading looped message to gather cash rather than have someone answering the phone is totally against good business practice. I don't think this is a mistake with their systems - why would else they call you briefly to make you call them back?

I've registered a complaint with OFCOM but in their own words, they won't actually investigate it unless there's a sharp rise in people registering a complaint for the same number.
All they suggested is registering with TPS and talking to my provider to get the number blocked. I'm done with this number, but I really want them to stop charging others.

If you all could take 2 minutes to also call OFCOM then maybe we can help others and get this stopped!

Tell the operator your experience and that there is no information on what company the number is calling from - if they get enough complaints then they can start to trace it and hopefully shut it down.

I have just had the same number call me, one ring only.

I am using a Virgin UK sim, but I am now in Luxembourg.  I never call back if I do not recognise the number.

Two rings just 5 minutes ago - didn't answer as number not known to me. Will call OFCOM

Do not know how much will it cost to me , need to see my mobile bill of the month. Also I rung the same number from my landline, got the same msg.!!!

Really irritating

The're still at it got one at 10.15 this morning.  This is the 8th time this week.  Still won't answer though.  I'm on vodafone.

Same as most. Rang for 2 rings and rang off. I rang it back as i was waiting for a call from my doctors about my son's medical condition. Wait for the bill now!! Really annoying
