Yes I have just got a call also at 11am this morning rang twice only 0871 6654044 . I have to say as a sales exec whose phone is an important part of my job I would  always call the number back straightaway thinking it would be a customer . But an 0871 number is not usual so I checked it out via this website , thanks guys I guess I wont be calling it or answering it if it rings again!!

i got a call from 08716654044 same as you 2 rings then hung up,
then about half hour later i got a call from 01132634044.. which was fitness first gym, leeds so i presumed there was a connection?

i'm with t mobile so i'm pretty certain it can't have anything to do with virgin. must be a hoax of some sort.

Just missed a call from this...No way am I calling back - formulating an email to send to everyone I know warning of this scam.

If you hold long enough when you call back (did it from a company line), they tell you to call 08716652821 - I did, a girl answered - didn't introduce herself so I let her say 'hello' a few times, then hung up.

I had a missed call from this number,googled it just out of interest..i'm on Virgin mobile too..

Pretty much the same as everyone else - this number called at 4.57pm today and rang for about 2 seconds. Didn't answer it - never do because either (a) it's not long enough for me to get to it, or (b) I don't answer numbers I don't recognise. If it's important, they'll leave a message.
I'm on Virgin mobile, and I've been with them for 3 or more years now. But it's only since about February/March this year that I've been getting lots of scam calls - and I MEAN LOTS!! It's ridiculous

Just received a call from 08716654044,two rings.
I am on virgin mobile and only three people have my number.
None of them gave out my number
So I assume this has something to do with Virgin mobile

have been receiving calls from 08716654044, 08718209972 and 08713222318. was really annoyed by  it and today i called the first number back. it said "enter your international or uk destination number" or something. i have a bad feeling it's going to cost me a lot! Anyone who rang them back received the bill already?

I had a missed call - rang back and got "please enter your iternational or uk destination number" I hung up instantly then read this, I hope I dont get charged loads.

Got a call from this number a few minutes ago.
Didn't recognise the number so didn't answer.
If it had rung a few more times I may have.

And googling the number turned up this website.

I missed a call on my mobile while at work and it was from this number. I probably wouldn't have answered anyway as it looks like a number of a company trying to sell junk. Annoying though...

I get calls from this number 2-3 times a day. The first couple of times as I answered it (I was job hunting at the time), it started dialling back. Probably cost me a lot of money :(

I've telephoned ofcom and registered a complaint, however, they seemed to insist that it was "someone trying to call my mobile through that service".

I then stated that I've been registered with the TPS for about 3 years now and I got a  "oh, right" and they gave me the number of the Information Commissioners' Office.

I was told that they would give out the name of the company and their address in order for anyone to take legal action against the 087x company.

I also got called by this number but my phone wasn't on at the time. I see to be getting more and more calls from unknown numbers like this one and it's so frustrating!
