I am the MD of a leading national Brokerage and I recieved a call from these guys - I went along with it to find out what would happen. I applied to an online company recently again as market research - they clearly passed my data on although Ididnt give permission to do so.

The company which called me sounded as if based offshore
they told me my loan was guaranteed
they told me they were the lender
they would give me a quote
they told me no up front fees
they asked for my bank account details to pay the loan into
when I refused I spoke to a supervisor who eventually admitted they would not do anything unless I paid £40
I asked for their post code - it was wrong
I asked for their consumer credit licence details - he wouldnt provide it


Within my business we offer loans and receive introductions and leads from many places. When we speak to clients a high percentage tell us they have been charged an upfront fee. Whether it is a scam or not, there is no need to pay an up front fee so dont do it. In my opinion 99% of companies who charge an up front fee have no interest in whether you get the loan.

Dont deal with any company which charges up front fees
Dont deal with any company until you have checked out its website and it quotes a UK address, phone number, consumer credit licence number and typical examples
Dont deal with any company which says it will pass your details to a range of partners or brokers - they are just selling your details to the highest bidder and in most cases multiple bidders

I am in the industry so know what these companies get up to - complain to the OFT enough and perhaps they with do something about it - they have already closed one large outfit down.

There are some honest brokers out there but it would be inaaproriate to promote my own company

After reading all this reviews now I'm really scared. I got a call from the same 0871 number today but the strange thing is I did apply for a loan. The guy I spoke with said his name was Leo Brahim and that my loan was guaranteed. All I had to do was pay an application fee of £40 and my funds would be deposited into my account in 48 hours. He confirmed that I will be e-mailed a pass code to get unto their website www.personalloanmatch.co.uk to proceed further. He also advised that one of his colleagues will contact me shortly to advise me how to proceed.

I'm hoping and praying that this is not a scam cause that was my last £40 and that loan is required urgently. I'm so tired and fed up of all these loan companies that  I'm not sure who's genuine and whose not.

They all keep calling and telling u you've been approved but have to pay and complete application fees. Im soo regretting a lot of my decisions now.

Well this is my first and last ever scam, absolute [***]. Yes this is a scam. Although I wish we had seen this site before hand (just extremely desperate and proved I would do anything,so kick me while I'm down why don't you as if I'm not stressing enough, tw&*s). They first asked for £40 and said I can not afford that so she said ok just do £20 so stupidly I did (what an idiot)after hanging up I didn't feel right or relieved as I thought I should of, so i cancel my card straight away because of my human instinct, it just didn't tally up but this was after she had my details, I was sick (literally) thats how I knew something wasn't right. We have also recalled the money but we have to wait for the fraud squad to confirm that we can do this,they have said as we caught it quite soon there is a possibility to claim it back from them. I would like to thank everyone on this site for allowing me to sleep tonight (thats if they don't call me)!!!!! I cannot stress how mad I am right now and no amount of swear words could possibly insult them enough. The police seriously need to think about trying it for themselves to prove its a scam and then lock the bas*?!ds up. 08719860475 is the number that contacted me. Just get ready for when they call again I will not be ignoring it, and they will not enjoy the phone call as much as they enjoyed the last one!!!!!

We fell for it too but cancelled our card straight away and I asked the same question to the (English) advisor from my bank if they could do anything with my sort code and acc number he said no so I mentioned direct debits to him and he said that I would have to fill in and sign a direct debit mandate form before they could set that up. So hopefully we should be ok but I would call your bank and confirm this with them. Hope this helps

Getting calls 3 times daily from this number for past week and a half, getting so fed up! They keep asking for someone who I am not and promise to remove me from their call list but then ring again an hour later!

Having same problem Susan, going mad! Except they don't usually hang up, they start asking me questions

i rung this number to get a loan n then they have said its been accepted so there said there needed 30 pound to make sure i am who i am i payed it n now its been 2 weeks i keep ringin them n they say were just waitin for out finance team to ring u which now has been a week n still no phone call so now i dont know what to do as iv payed them money and they have all my details

this company called one stop loan shop.phone no 08719860475.is a fraud.do not give ur bank details to anybody over the phone.believe me you will never get a loan.i will be reporting them to the police and fraud agency.also another company called green leaf.stay away.

How do i go about getting this fake company done. And get my money back

do not go with this company they took money from my bank and then said i had to buy an ekash vocher for more money they are a con preying on people who need help

I received a text message today offering me a loan for £2000. They asked me to call 08719863240 'One Stop Money Shop' to process the loan. I very foolishly rang them gave my details before checking there company out. During the phone call they asked me to give them £40 so that they could release the paper work for my 'Guaranteed Unsecured Loan' After the phone call I panicked and went on line to check for there website - website does not exist!!
I have been well and truly scammed!!!

if you can understand what the wola wola's are saying to you , don't trust them,,,,,it's the last time i put a donation into a tin for Africa....it's people like this that makes you think twice about people from another country.....

same thing i had a text to say my loan had been approved and to ring this number 08719863240 which i did some guy with a dodgy accent asked me to confirm certain details but when it came to my account details i hung up got suspicious about them, since that call they have tried ringing me another 8 times, please beaware they are not for real, the one stop money shop haha what a laugh

hi i got a text message from one shop loan shop i ring then and they indian person answer the call and asking my bank details and card details and want me to pay twenty pounds fee i tell then to get lost they rob me before you right dont trush this company

Just been called by 08719562380. Another Indian/Pakistani male claiming to be from one stop loan shop. I had to remind him that:
1. He, She or It calls me up to 12 times a day 7 Days a week

2.I never applied for a loan, I STILL dont want a loan

3. I am in the process of lodging a formal complaint with relevant authorities regarding his "Companies" harrassing behaviour.

4. I looked up his companies "Official Address" on google earth and if it is the correct address then the company are operating from the bedroom of a terraced house in Macclesfield.

5. I also rang him back to remind him that we regard it as impolite to "Cold call" residential numbers with a view to making a "Sale", then just hang up on your prospecting customers.

All this will probably not make a difference to the ignorant bacon dodgers. But I feel better :-)
