I don't understand what the purpose of these calls is. Or is 1-100-000-0000 some caller ID code meaning "out of the area" or something?

got a call fro 100-00-0000 today at work. no one was on the other end.must be a scam.

I got a call from this number this morning. Turns out i won 2 tickets on a cruze to the Bahamas :) Well aparantly. I'll believe it when i see it.

Hi, I am from Texas. I just got a call from 1000000000,a lady said that they want to discuss information from Texas health program. However, the sound is very low, I could distinguish the voice. Then they just discontinued. I just googled and found out this website. This call is a spam is this?

calls everyday!  No one there - how does one stop this?

Just received a call from this number, didn't answer but they left a message.  They said that they were calling from Survey RC (I think) and that I could win two passes to the Bahamas for answering some questions.

I got this call last night at 1:00am June 6/2011 in the morning. I answered and this woman said please hold for a important message from CBRC. I did a search for CBRC and there ae several organizations it cam stand for, so not sure which one.  But if they can't show a real number then that gives it away this is a fraudulent company.

10000000000 keeps calling my work line (and my boss' line) all day long! These are city government phone lines - City of Oceanside Fire Dept.

When I answer, I hear a beep or two and then it hangs up.

This # keeps calling my cell phone , Today I answered it & when I told the guy I want the # you are calling me from he hung up, This is outright harassment ,

I am from Ottawa, Ontario and have received a call from 10000000 every second thursday for the past month.  I never answer because the caller could get information from the phone.

wow! this is insane, this # has called me also two - four times a day i was at work and i could never pick it up. they didnt leave a message and when i tried calling them it wouldnt conect. ive been reading pages of people complaining about the same thing from the same #. i tried blocking it but t mobile said they couldnt. what is this bull ****! i better not be billed!     IF IT CALLS YOU DONT ANSWER!

I have been called by this number and have been pressured to accept offers via mail at no cost to me just look at the info. But when i refuse i have been told that he, they, have  my credit card number already and if this was not legit they would have abused my card already. This all started 10 weeks ago when i accepted an offer to do a survey for a 100.00 walmart card. I have never seen the card, I got a call last week and the man told me that i have not recieved it because they had my address wrong, This was complete BS. And he wanted me to do another survey and said my card would be there mon, morning , this call was at 1030 saterday night, i told him no way that was going to happen, and he got mad like i was calling him a liar. Well thats what he was, I beleive that this 100000000000 is some sort of filter or blocking device, and that no legal business uses it. How they had my card number is also a mistery, and i only keep 20,00 in this account now waiting to see if they try to use it. If they do then my bank can track them, for now i have no clue, but the man has a Indian accent.
