Ha, just got a 1036 call from an Indian fellow telling me my computer was infected.  Knowing about this scam I gave him a five minute runaround, playing dumb, eventually saying stuff like my PC was very old and slow, steam-powered so it was too slow to use on the information highway, that I tried to keep it oiled and also kept the window clean with vinegar.  Finally he got frustrated and hung up.

1036 phone call with name unavailable...What will these scammers think of next the phone companies need to STOP being accessories to these callers. THERE has to be something that can be done. I have contacted my service provider BUT they say that there's nothing they can do. THIS is getting worse and more REDUNDANT. I wish I didn't require a phone. BUT our lives require access to these devices. IT is a terrible plague on Americans. I for one am upset  beyond  belief because we PAY for privacy and have none, not from scammers, agencies that sell our information, and our own government allows our phone information to be tapped.

Received 6-7 calls from morning to 2.30pm, unknown and 1036 caller Id. Told me they are calling from U.S grant department and I had applied for this grant and got it. Never applied for one - scam wants by personal details.

This person keep calling me and when i answer he just hang up. In the begining was a rare number 0000000000 they call me from that number many times then i decite to block that number but as soon i blocke it they call me from 1036,

Called me at 7:30 AM, couldn't understand, wish he had called earlier,

Asked for manager, said what manager, they say, manager of this business.
I am not a business - strike one
I ask who are they - silence
Hello, who are you and who are you calling - no answer - they hang up
Darn, wanted to see what business they were looking for and who they were, coward hung up :P

I had this number call me to inform me i had a grant and they needed my banking information to get it to me. My dad is a police officer and told me if they call again just tell them that you have called the cops and reported them. they'll hang up after that and you shouldn't have any more problems.
This is a scam so do not give out any information!!!!

This number 1036 won't stop calling my landline phone, when I answer no one there...does anyone know who this is? Still going on, all day...

I was getting a similar call from 1 (301) 572-5623 until I block it. Now I'm getting the same call from 1036. It's just someone running a scam pretending to be Tech support.  I humor them for a few minutes, then tell them thanks I have enough info to go on. When they ask what info I tell them they gave me enough time to trace their call.   lol The next sound I usually hear is a dial tone.  ROFL!

This # 1036 and 610-867-5339 is a scam # also . Someone about credit problems, which I don't have.  And now they call the cell phones to and just hang up.

I recieved a call from 1036 on my way home from work the woman told me she was calling from a computer, and told me that she was from microsoft and that I had a virus and she could help me fix it, to get on my computer and they would help. When i explained that i was not home from work yet, so i would have to call them back they gave me their number. Its 1-866-884-4521. I have not tried to call it yet, decided to search the web for the number 1st. Thought it was too odd.

i was doing some work on my computer and i got a call from this number so i answerd it did not even notice it was a 4 digit number i answer and all i hear is the call drop so i go to call back b/c it could have been a friend all fair you know and i notice the number so i  went and did my research and notice that this website has tons of reports already

They said they were from the government and that I was selected to receive a Grant of $10400 when I told him it was a lie and the government doesn't call you he started laughing then started saying FBI and Obama sadam Hussein and I'm like oh hell no you sayin bad words don't call this number anymore then hung up these [***] are on something

Got a strange call, could not understand, so they hung up

I have had 2 of these calls in the last week,
one saying they were  from Microsoft saying my computer had a problem, informed them my computer was fine Thank You very much and hung up.
last one  tonight from Brian saying he was calling on behalf of the Federal Government about the solar scheme.
I asked why he was calling from overseas(I have caller ID) and he said it was because the government were using overseas call centres.
I informed him I was on--  a no call register-- if he called this number again I would be contacting the police

I just got a call from this phone # as well.  I am in the IT field and he knew (or got) my name from somewhere.  He was not work for Microsoft and wouldn't give me a call back #.

Isn't there anyone or anyway to stop these scam artists for calling my phone 4-5 times a week?
Who is stupid enough to actually talk to these people. Say they are Microsoft but I know they are not.
