- ChrissyThis is how you make them stop. The below info was from an email that I received at work. Just thought that I'd share with everyone.
Are you tired of receiving junk mail at home? Telemarketers calling? Junk emails?
If so, have your name removed from the solicitation list. Removing your name can prevent time consuming calls from telemarketers, discarding pounds of junk mail and deleting unwanted emails. Removing your name is also another way to combat identity theft. Most people do not shred junk mail. By throwing junk mail in the trash, dumpster divers can acquire and use your information to generate credit in your name.

- JoeI have been called numerous times from this stupid number. Two times over the last two days. I'm fed up. I answered it a few weeks ago and asked what credit card it was for and was hung up on. I just registered with that Do Not Call list. If they call me again after 31 days, I can report them. I hope they do. Maybe then they'll get into trouble.
- AReceived automated call at my work number. Recorded message said they were from my "credit card company" and it was urgent that I call them for a reduced rate.
If it was really my credit card company - don't you think they'd say the company name???? - JanetReceived 2 calls at work within 1 hour. I spoke to someone and asked if they would please quit calling me at my place of employment. He got smart on the phone and when I asked his name he told me Jack. I asked Jack who and he said me off.... Jack me off. I asked to speak to his supervisor who told me his name was Jesse Owens and he was sorry, but they had recently hired mental handicapped people to answer their phones. I told him that was bull and found it insulting he would use an excuse like that. He just laughed and hung up. I tried to find out who this is but all I could find out was they are in DC and this is a Nextel cell phone number.
- Club ChezNervosaBecause I knew (202) it was a "marketing" call and I was bored at the the time I gave them absolutely insane info. After toying with these guys they finally got brilliant and realized I was not giving them on-the-level information. Geniuses. I never got a call again. Too bad, I was bored last night for 5 minutes while commercials were on. Ha ha ha -CS

- AGOFunny, I got a call from this number while at work, which happens to be a fraud unit at the state attorney general's office. Jeez, they didn't even leave me a message.
- DanielAlso have received this call several times on my cell phone, and several times on my home phone as well.
A recorded message says: "You are eligible for an interest rate reduction on your credit account" and I am provided with an option to press 1 to be connected and 2 to be removed from their list. I have pressed 2 several times to no avail. Whenever I call their number directly I get a fast busy signal.
I am also on the DNC list, so this is clearly illegal. They must be stopped!
