I just received a phone call that said that I was to receive 7000.00 from the government, because I paid my taxes on time and also I haven't filed for bank rupcency in the past 6 months.  He gave me a control number and a phone # that I was to call back on, but I did not write anything down.

just got the call. whoever this guy/girl is tries to speak in a way that you cant tell what they sound like. the background noise sounds a lot like from a tv. I never once asked for a grant and this person is telling me that's what kind im getting, not with my kind of luck is that ever gonna happen. this punk needs to get caught and fast. told me to call this number to get the money:202-738-2562. this is the chance take it!

I got that same # (202)621-5429 call at 10a.m. today i just didnt answer then looked it up on the net and seen it was a scam... ***PLUS WASH DC does not call you anyway for any reason.. weather it be a grant ..... If you get a grant you should recieve letters in the mail not by Phone call especially from WASH DC

I have received calls periodically from this ph# asking to speak to myself by first & last name, most recent as today while i'm @ work. After asking to speak to me twice i'm asking "who's calling, who's calling? Response were: [***] and hung up the phone. That line continually stays busy. Thinking because I have been to smart for him (them), who the heck ever.

They call me to say the goverment is going to give 7000 thay ask for a bank account number in order to do the deposit, thay have all my information

I have been getting calls from this number several times a day and there is never anyone there they just hang up. This is very annoying and harrassing. I have no idea how they got my number and I would really like to make these jerks go away. It says that the caller is from the D.C. area. The number that called is (202) 621-5429.

I received a message from this number, all she said was f-- you and hung up.

Please have this person stop calling me.  

I received a call today stating the US Gov has decided to give mw a grant from 7K. I ask really why? The caller said that they did a survey in my area and I was selected. The call then asked me how would like my grant direct deposit, credit card, or cash. I played along with the BS and said cash. The me ask me what state I live in and he gave the correct answer, then he asked what city and gave me the correct answer, then he asked was my zip code correct and gave me the correct answer, so he asked is this your correct address and gave an address that was not correct. I said no, so he asked he what is your address. I told him before I gave him my address what other information would be required. He told me he could answer without getting my correct address first. I said no tell me about the other information...this went on for a few minutes and he was getting mad as me! I was thinking what the Hell!!! He is trying to rip me off and is getting mad at me for making it difficut...I started laughing at him becuase he was so frustrated with me he then hung up.  I called the number back and received a message that this number does not accept incoming call!

These guys barely speak English and claim to be from the "United Staes Grant Department@ which does not exist.  It's a scan and they are legitimately stupid.  Hang up if they call you.  They never stop calling so if they keep it up, do as I do and ask them to spell what they are saying since "I cannot understand the words that are coming out of your mouth".

I also ask the. To meet me in the alley behind 4th and Main Street to hand off the money.   Seriously: if you fall for their scam you should not be allowed a telephone!

I received a call from this number also stating that I was selected to receive $7000 free grant money.  He exolained how I had been selected.  He gave me an approval number and a phone number to call his account manager Sam Benjamin to get the money.  At a time when I am unemployed, and could really use that kind of money.  But nothing good comes that easy, unless you are a scammer.  I only answered it because a lot of recruiting companies out of state are being used by companies in my home state, so I thought it was about a job.  Need to be more careful.

I received the same call just today.  I played along and told the man with a heavy Indian accent to mail me the $7000 government grant money.  He said they can't mail it - of course not - wanted my bank account.........

Please don't respond to this kind of fake calls. It is a scam and dangerous to get your personnel information to heck your bank account. I always get this call. I wish we can tractdown these kind of evil people and exterminate them from the surface of the earth for making other's lives living hell.

A man called me and said the government is going to give me 10000 dollars.

Thay keep calling and hanging up and when I call back it is a busy signal I wont them to stop calling that r not fron this country. my phone is saying District of Columbia.

Had a call from (202) 621-5429.said I have a grant of 7000 dallors.told them wasn't interested. told them not to call anymore..then he said he was the police and was going to arrest me.I told him he was crazy.. could anybody put a stop on this..

A man with a foreign accent called twice saying to call Sam Benjamin to receive a 7000$ federal government grant but requires a 350$ deposit on a green dot card. I feel this is a scam. Please help. They won't stop calling.

I also just received a call from this number stating I was selected to receive a $7000 grant to use as I see fit (going back to school, home renovations,etc.) But to not misuse it or it would be taken away. I was given a confirmation number after stating i wanted the money in cash and was given a call baxk number (202) 697 9274 which a lady named lisa answered and told me i had to go to walmart buy a green dot card and load some money on it (couldnt understand what they said for the amount) and as soon as the deposit was confirmed it would be refunded plus the $7000 . Who can I report these people to, because I am a low income person who cant afford to just throw money away?
