What some of you idiots don't seem to realize is that there are many of us here complaining of these charges on our bills for text messages (TMs) to that number because we didn't send any text messages at those times or in those ways.

My bill shows numerous text messages in a 'doublet' way. Two identical TMs at the same instant is simply not possible for me to do, and besides, I send so few TMs I can remember when I have sent one. I would certainly remember sending 2 TMs in a row at the same instant.

Since I discovered this problem I haven't made ANY TMs at all since 6-20, yet my bill has several from 6-21 on to 7-02. None of them could possibly be mine and therefore, many of us believe that T-Mobile is using fraudulent practices to bill us for bogus calls.

We cannot prove a negative, (that we did not make a text message and send it), so it's up to TM to find what this machine error is and fix it.

i got a the message that was stated a page back saying; hey, i got your number from a friend of mine, but i bet you can't guess who i am! my username's maya111 , if you wanna come see if you recognize me online, at maya111.dating-only.com Well, hope to see you soon!. so i looked up maya111 cuz it was obviously fake and it lead me to this website. the thing is you guys have t-mobile and i have sprint. and instead of the text having a caller id, it says that its an unknown message. and now im just confused. i just dont wanna be charged for something i didnt do, like all of us. but then i have a different cell phone provider than you guys.

There were 7 text messages sent TO this number from my brand new cell phone, according to my first bill.  I don't know how to send a text message and nobody has used my phone!!  I called the number back and the call can't be completed.  Now I see that I am not the only one with this problem.

here's an answer
I also had this number show up on my bill. There is a company called Twitter that you can report things like this to.  I haven't called T-Mobile yet, but plan to e-mail Twitter if they do not refund the money.  Please check out the web site  www.twitter.com the story was on the news in Houston Tx.  Good luck to all.  I plan to drop T-Mobile as soon as my contract is up.  I'm fed up.

I have the same problem here. I have about 7 messages sent from my number to the number mentioned above. T-Mobile charged me 35 cents for each of these messages. Where is this place even? I mean I send text messages overseas and it only costs me 15 cents each time I do it!!!

My T-Mobile cell phone comes with this number (206) 313-0004 every month either in the form of a text or phone call.  I was wondering if my husband had someone on the side.  This is bad.  But I am going to take the advice the gal gave a few months ago and see if I can get this blocked.  I am so thankful for this site explaining this before I divorced my husband.

My daughter has received multiple text messages from 206.313.0004 showing up on her bill that she did not make. The number on the bill indicates it's coming from Seattle Sr, WA. This is bad business practice on T-Mobile part if they chose to charge customers for Text messages from this number since there have been multiple complaints to T-Mobile.

I have the same thing going on, that number is your service number, you can even check on your phone, well with my phone, go to your texts, then go to options or settings, select text, and there it has your service number which is the 2063130004 number. so im guessing it is when your roaming.

I was also charged for 71 outgoing messages to this #, that I did not make. When I called customer service, two different reps told me, "I'm sorry, but there is nothing we can do because these messages were sent from your phone." Then one of them slipped up and said that he spoke with me earlier about the same issue. I replied that he had not, & it must have been someone else.

After finally talking to a supervisor and arguing for several minutes, he told me that he had also seen the same billing error earlier in the day with the same number and offered a courtesy credit. It took much more insisting to get him to forward the problem to the "help desk", who then may turn it over to the fraud department. He could not promise that it would not happen again.

The worst part is that there were charges for the same issue dating back to April, but he told me that they would not refund any charges going back any further than three months, even thought it is their fault.

Almost a year after the first post about this problem, I am dealing with the same issue of T-Mobile's fraudulent charges.

Why is there no regulation or accountability of phone companies?

I also found these on my tmobile statement.  I was confused too, so I called and my tmobile rep DID refund the charges for the past three months.  It totaled almost $35.  I am very grateful that I had a wonderful representative.  I recommend calling again, and I hope it works for you.  You could even point out this website for them to look at.  It really isn't fair to be charged for texts you didn't make.  Good Luck!

I think Tmobile sent those messages out so they can make more $$$.
I just called them to block all  messages and E-mail to my phone. See how this work.

T-Mobile Text Fraud - Text Fraud
Posted By: Fraud Buster on 4/18/2006
Location: Boston, GA

Tuesday April 18th I received a bill with about 50 charges for outgoing text messsages to Seattle, Washinton number 206-313-0004. This is not the first time that I have seen this number on my bill. I was also very confused because neither do I know anyone in Washington nor did I recognize the number.

Also I had been charged for 540 messages outside of my 400 message plan. Where did my 400 go? I do not make this many messages and they do not print messages made within the 400 on your bill. To make a long story short I got the runaround from 3 different representatives. "Our tracking is very accurate and according to this these are valid charges, theres not really anything we can do" I got this same bit from 3 different people. I was also told that if I did not pay the bill I would be turned over to a collection agency. Also after some research I have found out that this is a common probelm with T-Mobile and there are sites all over the internet trying to expose billing fraud from T-Mobile which I will add links to later. I also called the number to find out whos it was and come to find out that it is not in service, and after some research online and through the use of reverse telephone directories I found out that the number is registered to T-MOBILE VOICESTREAM!!!! So to wrap this up I cancelled my service which is going to cost me $200 plus my bill I have now. This is most certainly fraud and I am not the only one who this has happened to.
