I recently became an indiv amazon seller.  Every single "legitimate" call back has been from INDIA with very POOR  customer service and very POOR English.  For the "sellers" that mentioned they verified the number, then Where the H are you finding that number on Amazon as a seller?  They DO NOT advertise any way to contact them by phone as a Seller.  But I'm wondering if the lowlifes that are making the scam calls that I received recently, more on that in a bit, did as those same supposed sellers said, spoofed the caller ID.  The calls I received recently from this number, not India, start out about being a mother or something.  When the female realizes she's an idiot and is not talking to a live person, she hangs up, but still, redials several more times. In addition, Amazon has not answered my seller online question for 5 days.  That time, I did not leave my number since I wanted them to answer by email instead of try to decipher WTH they are saying. So it could be a lowlife cust serv. mad agent at Amazon, or just a general low life scammer using spoofed number.

OK, I'm actually replying to my own comment above. Wanted to add this.  Amazon emailed me that day I wrote the comment here, that they had called.  So yes, turned out they did try to reach me from that number.  However, still doesn't make sense that I heard a voice mail saying "as a mother" and it sounded like a recorded solicitation and then they hung up. So has to be 1 of 2 things going on in my opinion, the lady that left that partial message may be illegally soliciting people, using seller/customer contact info, while working for Amazon. Maybe she forgot what role she was playing, customer support or solicitor.  2) Could be that since they aren't focused on their job, she is talking to a co-worker at the same time, and doesn't know what she is doing. I did report this what happened to Amazon and surprisingly enough, that part didn't get answered.

It is amazon, thick accent threw me off but luckily he called back.

Got this call from Amazon.com helping me with my account.

This Indian guy called saying he was from Amazon and looking up some fraud charges. He knew a great deal of information about me and had a whole story made up with friends names and everything. I called Amazon to verify this guys story and they had no idea what he was talking about and they warned me to not give him any information.

called my cell & ask for me.  Ask if I had ordered anything from amazon.  never have.  The female had such a foreign accent, i could hardly understand her.  I think it was somekind of scam.

Why are so many people afraid to answer the phone?

Got a call from this number and missed it. But they left a message that is exactly 3 minutes long. All I can hear is a single ringing note (for the musically inclined, it is a single sustained B note)

Got a call twice the person was not even speaking English and didn't identify they were calling from Amazon. The second time I pretended to speak Spanish and they started to speak English sounding like they were reading a script and said we paged them. We didn't call or page anyone, the female sounded like a young girl and didn't speak English very well.

This is from Amazon. They will probably followup with an email. My call was due to a delivery - issue - they couldn't get into my building.

amazon customer service - I wish they would have left a message so that I would have known to pick it up the first time. Looked it up online found this site, answered it the next time it called.

Careful,  Caller ID is not a reliable way to determine who called you.   I have been receiving calls from this number but the call back number is different.   They claim to be amazon web services on collecting a bill.   Ive never dealt with AWS so I am confident that scammers are using a legit amazon called id to hide behind

I contacted amazon seller support and was told this number was NOT affiliated with amazon. Do not give out any information!

Got a call on my Google Voice number, unknown, didn't answer. Saw all the comments on here that it's Amazon customer service, so tried calling back - got a recording saying the survey is now closed.  My Google Voice number is NOT on my Amazon account profile. So this must be a spam caller, possibly spoofing a legit number.

Yes I'm a customer service associate from Amazon.com and confirming this is our phone number too that appears on my Avaya. Its legitimate too and nothing to worry  about.
