The first time I ignored their calls.  About 8 of them in 2 hours.  My Amazon account was then locked and I had to call security and go through a long process to verify account after waiting 2 hours.  And then they wanted to know serial numbers of Amazon device in my house, orders placed, etc.  Very thorough and impressive process.  They claimed the number 206-508-4051 did not belong to them.  But while scammers may spoof this is indeed an Amazon number.  Both times it was a foreign call center.  Agents that seemed very rushed and not very nice are just trying to verify in my case if I had just purchased a $1000 gift card and why.  I have gotten these calls since and now have this number saved on my phone so I answer promptly.  They never ask for any personal data.  Just wanted to verify I had ordered a gift card. Once I said yes I could see the card order process on-line in minutes.
