22 calls in the last three days;  Centurylink, my pathetic phone company, doesn't work on weekends...so nobody to complain to.

No one speaks on the other end when the call is answered.  A Google search shows that the number in question also transmits attachments to cells...usually a pornographic photo.

This person also called stating that my number was attached to a number found on a google account> They asked me if I knew someone they named but I couldnt understand them weird voice what the hell?

This is Amazon Customer Service calling me at MY request because I had a problem with a carrier not delivering a package.  I requested the call via their website and they called me immediately.
Amazon Customer Service to the best of my knowledge does not call unless a request for a call is received.
Perhaps someone is spoofing their number.

I see all the responses saying it is Amazon calling them back. Really? I just got 3 calls in a row with no message left and I haven't called Amazon asking for anything.

I had 2 calls from this number  and leaving 2 messages saying amazon and her name was Lisa how could she help me as if I was calling them and being pht on hold to speak to someonr. We have not ordered anything and especially not from my 9 year olds phone. Not to mention a little backwards. How do I get a missed call for a message as if I called them?

I didn't answer, am sure they will try again.

I can verify that this is Amazon, as they phoned me back yesterday at my request.  The multiple calls and no one is on the line may be spoofing Amazon's phone number.

I just received 3 calls from this number in less than 10 minutes.   When I answered they wanted to know my name and why I contacted Amazon Customer Service.    I told them my name was none of their business and that I did not contact Amazon Customer Service.   Since I did not contact Amazon.com I can only think that this is a scam.

This is NOT amazon.  Many people are buying stuff from Amazon at this time of year so their call appears like it's not a coincidence.  But this is not Amazon's customer service number on their web site.  This is a creepy spammer using a number that looks legit and if you call them they have what sounds like a legit phone tree BUT the people you talk to sound really sketchy and they only ask you for info and do not have any ability to solve any problem you have with Amazon.  Block these scammers and hope Amazon uses their immense resources to find and prosecute these people as quickly as possible.

Just got a phone call from this number.  I was routed to an automated message, that said it was Amazon.com.  I knew I didn't order anything from them, so I stayed on the phone to clear it up.  I explained I didn't order anything and they'd called me, and the girl on the line just asked me "how she could help".  I told her again I didn't order anything and then the call disconnects.  Thinking it was Amazon (and keeping in mind this is at 11 PM) I get online and live chat someone from Amazon, with my complaint.  I thought it was a rude customer service person who dialed the wrong number, and just decided to disconnect the call. They actually told me that they could confirm that this number is NOT affiliated with Amazon, and that they are unsure who made the call.

Anyone can go to Amazon's website and request a call back and you can enter any phone number you want to be called at. So it's quite possible someone mistyped their own digits for yours or someone is deliberately pranking you by making amazon call you.

Twice called within a two minute time frame. 1/12/2014 at 3:54 p/m. I didn't answer (football fan)

Centurylink can't do anything if it's a telemarker. My suggestion is you register your # in the national do not call list. Centurylink will offer you a private# blocking service or anonymous blocking sevice but that only blocks the people who call you whose # is anonymous or private it doesn't work on telemarketers because when telemarketers call a # pops up which allows the call to be connected and not blocked.  I know this because I work for a long distance company and deal with Centry link customers AT&T customers and Verizon customers all day long.

Somebody must have put a wrong number and it was yours. I can confirm that this is Amazon Customer Service, or spoofing if it's abusive

It is one of Amazon's customer service numbers. They called me back from this number regarding an issue that I had with a return.

I asked Amazon to call me  about an issue I had. They did and the matter was resolved. Maybe this was a callback to check how everything went--I don't know. I could barely understand the woman's voice on my playback machine (I didn't answer). The ID gave the name Vygur Dogan (@@ ???? ) Possibly a spoof?

I just got a call back from this number from Amazon AT MY REQUEST to resolve an issue with an order.  I asked for the call back via their website.  I always use this service when I have a problem with an order and this is the number that they call me on from their website
If you are getting calls from other than Amazon Customer Service than perhaps the number is being spoofed.
